Happy New Year from us here at the Richmond Christmas Tree Farm! 🌟

We've had a lovely little break and we're ready to get back to work on the farm, starting with our Tree-Cycle Weekend.

Bring your tree back out the farm on the 10th or 11th of January from 10am-12pm and we'll mulch it down and use it to nurture our new seedlings 🌱

We had about 150 trees bought back to us in 2025 and we want to beat that this year!

We will take any and all Christmas trees even ones not purchased from our farm. So if you got your tree from the Scouts or snuck one off the side of the road, and would like to dispose of it thoughtfully, you can bring it along.

The boys from Motto Vecchia will be here to make you a coffee or hot chocolate to enjoy while you wander around the farm.

Marie is coming back with her famous Christmas puddings along with a range of homemade festive treats. Stock up for Christmas Day or grab a sweet bite to enjoy on the spot.

🌲Summer is here (sort of), Christmas is right around the corner and we're so pumped for our first open day of 2025 🌲

Everybody who has tickets for today, we can't wait to see you out on the farm! Remember, our opening hours for today are 2pm-6pm.

The forecast is for showers this afternoon, so please bring a raincoat or umbrella with you and take care on the roads coming into and leaving the farm.

We wanted to say a heartfelt thankyou to everybody who has bought tickets to come out to the farm this year! We have completely sold out our first two open days. ❤

We'll be sending out welcome emails about a week before each open day, with all the information you need to know for a fantastic tree hunting experience.

Each December we fling open the farm gates and welcome you and your family to choose a real Christmas tree. The farm was established in 2012, and since then it’s been a delight to see families nurture a beautiful Christmas tradition at our farm, year after year.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow! 🎄

Before all the excitement begins, check out this cool little discovery — a Brown Quail nest we found here on the farm!

Having grown up on a cherry farm where a lot of effort went into keeping animals away from the trees, one of the things I love about Christmas tree farming is that we can actually welcome native wildlife to make their home here.

Keep an eye out during our open days — this year we’ve dipped our toes into planting wildflowers around the farm to encourage native insects and pollinators to visit (though the cool weather has slowed them down a bit!). 🌼🐝

This is just the beginning of our plans to fill our little farm with life!

We have an exciting announcement to make!

Becc from Add-Ons Handmade Designs is setting up a stall at the farm on our opening weekend this year. Becc makes the most beautiful handmade christmas ornaments including these amazing hand-painted watercolour pet portraits 🐶

You can see Becc's other creations over on her page and keep and eye out for her out at the farm on Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th Only!

🎄 Everything you need to know about tickets for the 2025 Season 🎄

Tickets are essential to attend one of our open days and pick your perfect Christmas tree.

For our returning customers — things will run just the same as previous years! (Hopefully with less website crashes). For everybody new, here's the details:

📅 Tickets go on sale November 15th!

🎟️ Returning customers will be able to purchase their tickets from 5pm - Keep an eye on your email inbox for the pre-sale link
🎟️ New customers can purchase tickets from 7pm - we will post the link on social media and send it out to our email subscribers.

📜The Rules:

🌟 Your ticket acts as a deposit on your tree — you’ll pay the remainder when you visit the farm .
🌟 One ticket = One tree (you're welcome to buy multiple tickets)
🌟 First in best dressed. Although we have hundreds of lovely trees for you to choose from, if you have a very specific tree in mind we reccomend coming to our earlier open days to get the best selection.

🌲Christmas Tree-ivia 🌲

The most frequently asked question we get at the farm is "how old are the trees?"

Our trees start their journey on the farm as 12 month old seedlings and take about 5 years of growing and shaping to turn into full sized Christmas trees.
