Help us build the case for an Agricultural Trade Apprenticeship 🧑‍🌾

The NFF, in collaboration with Skills Insight, is seeking feedback from producers and industry stakeholders to demonstrate strong industry demand for agricultural apprentices.

The results will help show the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations that there is genuine appetite across the sector to employ and train apprentices.

An Agricultural Trade Qualification is being developed to create clearer career pathways and better recognition of skills across the industry. Skills Insight are inviting farmers, students, employees and industry stakeholders to share their insights on current and future workforce needs in broadacre cropping, livestock and dairy production.

🌾✨That's a wrap for AgGrow 2026✨🌾
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our local members & industry stakeholders. It was invaluable to hear first-hand the challenges they’re facing, while also exploring future opportunities for our region.

Friday night’s Sundowners was a standout highlight, with an excellent turnout of members and industry representatives. We heard from Cattle Australia’s Will Evans on the upcoming levy review, alongside Mark Collins, who spoke on the timely and important topic of the EPBC.

Join the Native Forest Management Field Day at Boomerang Station this Saturday, 27 June, from 9am–3pm.

The day will cover:
🌱 Recent legislative changes impacting forestry
📱 Demonstrations of the Rapid Assessment App for measuring forest health
🌲 Sustainable forest productivity and management
🔥 Biofuel opportunities and forest products
🌏 Natural capital assets including carbon and biodiversity values

The Rapid Assessment App has been developed through an AgCarE project with support from AgForce, DPI, PFSQ and UQ.
