Last week, our team in Vietnam reserved two days to spend some quality time together along the beautiful coastline of Ho Tram Beach 🇻🇳🌊

Colleagues from Ho Chi Minh City and other regions gathered for a couple of days packed with fun stuff: 🚲cycling, a campfire night🔥, good food and plenty of time by the water 🏖️

The trip wrapped up with a gala dinner, where we celebrated some of our long-time team members, dressed up a little and, as a sweet result, made plenty of new memories along the way❤️

Stronger teams are built when you’re simply having a good time together.

🇸🇻 Finca La Providencia Yellow Caturra Anaerobic Natural: Fernando Alfaro and Jose Enrique Gutierrez bring generations of coffee knowledge and plenty of curiosity to this lot. We're talking about a smooth texture 🍇, passion fruit and🍯sweetness.

🇸🇻 Finca Madre Tierra Red Icatu Natural: third-generation producer Thelma de Gutierrez has been focused on quality since she bought the farm in 2006. Intense and boozy, this lot is characterized by star fruit,🍈and tamarind notes, plus plenty of clarity.

🇬🇹 Finca El Puente Fully Washed: Nayo Ovalle grows Caturra and Bourbon in Huehuetenango, while working with Vides58 to export his coffee. In the cup 🍎, milk chocolate and brown sugar, with a bright, clean finish.

Banging news for AU roasters partial to some single producer natural Ethiopia lots with a hell of a backstory... 🌺🦁 4 Lalisaa lots are shipping soon (get in touch to pre-order!)

Lalisaa (meaning "flourishing and growing") is our program supporting smallholder farmers in Ethiopia to produce high-quality coffee, access new markets and take greater control of their role in the supply chain.

We started it back in 2020 with a simple idea: many smallholder farmers had the land, the altitude and the skills, but not always the tools, the training or the direct market connections to match their potential.

So we got to work. Agronomists on the ground year-round, training in good agricultural practices, quality control, natural processing... and perhaps most importantly, direct introductions between farmers and roasters to build long-term relationships💚
