Sound on for the cutest little moo. Baby no. 3 has finally arrived! 🐮

Nearly far is a full house with all Mums and bubs doing great. Even some rain to green things up a little around here.

Baby number 2…. Only a couple of days old and she is doing great!

Spring is here and the babies are thriving, just one more to go and we will be a full house at Nearly Far.

Spring is nearly here and the carrots are already walking out of the patch — it’s been that dry 😂

Jokes aside, the lack of rain has slowed everything down here at Nearly Far. We’re conserving water, growth is sluggish, and produce is a bit thin on the ground for now.

Our broccoli, carrots and lettuce might not be quite the harvest planned but it’s what we have and we will make the most of it!

We have a new resident on Nearly Far, just a couple of hours old, with Mum and bub doing great.

🫐 Individual Blueberry Pies — new on Kitchen Notes

Not the prettiest pies you’ll ever see, but they were tasty. Made individually in pie tins to keep their rough shape — puff pastry all the way round, loose lattice tops, a bit of a mess by the time they come out of the oven.

The blueberries are last season’s harvest, straight from the freezer, and the lemon fresh from the tree. A dollop of fresh cream while they’re still warm and that’s it — no fuss, perfect winter’s dessert.
