We were privileged and honoured to welcome Her Excellency, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, to Lake Moodemere Estate, along with the Governor's Official Secretary, Jonathan Burke, and Deputy Mayor of Indigo, Cr Jane Dowsley.

The Governor showed a real passion for showcasing and championing Victorian businesses and products. We're a small family business, so it's exciting to have our leadership and innovation among the regional wine industry noticed.

Joel’s not the only one excited by our new planting of Grenache and the new sustainable trellis system made from 100% recyclable material.

The first crop of fruit from these vines will be ready for harvesting around 2030. Vigneron Mike has flagged that vintage to make a delicious Grenache Rosé!

So you could say, Joel is excited by the construction and planting of the new Grenache block, Michael is excited by the prospect of the delicious wine he will make, and Belinda is excited by a crisp Grenache Rosé in her glass. Now that’s a happy team!

Trivia in the Vines was an absolute blast, with some very knowledgeable punters and live music riddles provided by Dave of Questionable Entertainment. Congratulations to our winners, made up of two groups who had never met before - what a team! They were very happy to continue the party with 12 bottles of Lake Moodemere Estate Wine.

The team who won the Wooden Spoon got a special mention, and walked away with two bottles of wine for their efforts.
