No matter what it is, a wine tasting with our sixth generation vigneron, Michael Chambers, will be filled with good times to remember. At the Vigneron’s Table, you'll be guided through the Estate wines while uncovering the history and stories behind Lake Moodemere Estate and maybe even join in some unexpected banter.

On Thursday we embarked on “Tree Planting day” Joel and his side kick Anden tackled 600 trees and shrubs to get planted in one day!

Even with initial help from Sally Day from the North east catchment authority, The target was always ambitious. Back up was needed, and fast!

Joel made a few calls to muster the troops 🫡

With the quick assist from Rob, Belinda, Michael, Sarah, William, Taylor, Ruby and the chickens. The job was done ✅

"A beautiful lakeside retreat with peaceful surroundings and stunning views across the lake and vineyard. Belinda and Michael were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, generously providing e-bikes so we could explore the nearby wineries and scenic lake surrounds. They also kindly fitted us in for a wine tasting at their cellar door, despite being busy with the wine festival.

The property has a wonderful family atmosphere, and their hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We only wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed everything this special place has to offer."

We just love the changing seasons - the vines, the winter garden, the moody skies, and most of all the crackling fires.

As warm days give way to crisp mornings and clear winter nights, it’s time to conjure the flames.

A stay at the Moodemere Lake House becomes something truly special in winter — centred around the outdoor fire pit, sharing quiet conversations and the warmth of good company beneath the night sky as the glow of the flames reflect across the lake.

By day, our heritage cellar door offers its own welcome. The open wood fire is always burning, creating the perfect setting for a wine tasting, a cosy lunch, or simply a comfortable chair with a glass of wine by the original 1850's fireplace.
