Morris of Rutherglen has taken home top gongs at the Halliday Wine Companion Awards that celebrate the best wines in Australia for 2027, as published on 18th Aug.

Carefully selected by the Halliday Tasting Team at the pointy end of the annual awards judging, these wines are awarded based not just on the senses, but on how they lift the spirits of the tasting team.

Well done to all the team at Morris, Chief Winemaker Madden Morris, and in celebration of and tribute to the legacy of the late Mick Morris.

Some of our barrels are older than Federation 🛢️

Swipe through the working history of Morris: hand-stencilled barrel heads, a ladder into a vat that's held Muscat since before 1901, and a price list from the days when a bottle of Riesling cost $2.20.

These aren't museum pieces. Many are still in service today, quietly deepening the wines that made Rutherglen famous.
