My butter chicken mad family was happy with the store bought jar of sauce. Then we tried a Spicecraft kit and ruined it for everyone.
The kids won't touch anything else now. Even the fussy one asks for it every week. My husband used to grab Indian takeaway three nights a week and now he just goes "why are we paying 90 bucks when Spicecraft is so much better?"
The kit's 10 bucks. You add chicken, cream and tomato paste, maybe $20 at Woolies on stuff you'd buy anyway. Feeds six. Works out under $5 a head. The local charges us closer to $90 for the same amount of Butter Chicken.

Here's a story of how a customer's payment didn't go through and it made our week. 🥹

Last weekend at the Good Food & Wine Show was chaos at our stand.

On Saturday our payment terminal glitched and a payment didn't go through, and we didn't catch it. By the time Square flagged it, there was no way to know whose payment failed. It was a big sale and we were gutted.

That night I'm at the warehouse restocking. Phone rings. It's Lorraine, a customer from that day. She'd checked her bank statement and found that failed payment.

Said called to make it right knowing she couldn't sleep otherwise, especially with us being a family business. We were floored. 🙏

This is why we'll never stop doing shows.

On a shelf, you are just another box. At a show, you meet incredible people like Lorraine who show up for you the way you show up for them.
Customer connection isn't a marketing line. It goes both ways. 💛
