My butter chicken mad family was happy with the store bought jar of sauce. Then we tried a Spicecraft kit and ruined it for everyone.
The kids won't touch anything else now. Even the fussy one asks for it every week. My husband used to grab Indian takeaway three nights a week and now he just goes "why are we paying 90 bucks when Spicecraft is so much better?"
The kit's 10 bucks. You add chicken, cream and tomato paste, maybe $20 at Woolies on stuff you'd buy anyway. Feeds six. Works out under $5 a head. The local charges us closer to $90 for the same amount of Butter Chicken.
13 spices, pre-portioned, original recipe from the restaurant that invented Butter Chicken.
45 minutes start to finish.
200,000+ kits sold. Don't say I didn't warn you.

We've all stuffed up a curry one time or another. What was your worst experience? Let us know.

Butter chicken isn't hard. Really it is all about the balance of flavours. These six mistakes are the difference between "pretty good" and "wait, you MADE this?" Most of them come down to one idea: stages, not shortcuts.

Save this for your next Indian night.

Come with us to set up our tasting station at Harris Farm Lane Cove. 🍛
One table, one stove, one little pot of proper butter chicken from scratch. Two hours later: 60+ tastings and 40+ kits off the shelf.
The best part was all the conversations with Butter Chicken lovers of all ages. People who've been cooking our kits for years, and people trying that first spoonful and going straight to the shelf.
If you missed us, keep an eye out for us at your local Harris Farm next.

Here's a story of how a customer's payment didn't go through and it made our week. 🥹

Last weekend at the Good Food & Wine Show was chaos at our stand.

On Saturday our payment terminal glitched and a payment didn't go through, and we didn't catch it. By the time Square flagged it, there was no way to know whose payment failed. It was a big sale and we were gutted.

That night I'm at the warehouse restocking. Phone rings. It's Lorraine, a customer from that day. She'd checked her bank statement and found that failed payment.

Said called to make it right knowing she couldn't sleep otherwise, especially with us being a family business. We were floored. 🙏

This is why we'll never stop doing shows.

On a shelf, you are just another box. At a show, you meet incredible people like Lorraine who show up for you the way you show up for them.
Customer connection isn't a marketing line. It goes both ways. 💛
