A bottle with 900 years of family history behind the name.

Tyrrell’s Rufus Stone Heathcote Shiraz takes its name from the infamous 1100 incident where Sir Walter Tyrrell accidentally killed King William II, known as Rufus, with a stray arrow.

The w**e itself is a much safer proposition. Big black plum, mulberry, white pepper and dark chocolate, with French oak, supple tannins and enough freshness to keep everything nicely in check.

At $19.99, it is a cracking option if you want a full bodied Heathcote Shiraz without spending serious money.

We’re local, independent and pretty particular about what makes it onto the shelf.

A lot of our range comes from relationships we’ve built over the years with growers, producers and suppliers around the country. It means we can find bottles you won’t necessarily see in the big chains, and we know what we’re selling.

So if you come in and ask for a recommendation, you’re talking to someone who actually knows the range.

Yamazaki 18 Year Old Japanese Wh**ky is the bottle you give yourself when you know you’ve earned it. Deep, elegant and beautifully layered, this is a wh**ky made for slowing down. Rich dried fruit, dark chocolate, soft spice and incense, finished with a long, warming depth that stays with you.

This is the flagship single malt from the House of Suntory, crafted at Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery. It’s matured in a thoughtful mix of American, Spanish and rare Japanese Mizunara oak, giving Yamazaki its signature complexity and calm confidence.

Yamazaki 18 Wh**ky has taken out the Supreme Champion Spirit Trophy at the International Spirits Challenge 2025. The highest honour.

Hakushu 18 Year Old Japanese Wh**ky is a Christmas gift for someone who doesn’t want the obvious choice. Fresh, complex, and beautifully restrained, this is Japanese wh**ky at its most thoughtful. Crisp green notes, soft herbs, a gentle wisp of smoke and a clean, elegant finish that feels calm.

It’s made at Suntory’s mountain forest distillery, tucked deep into the slopes of Mt. Kaikomagatake, where the air is cool, the water is pure, and time moves a little slower. That environment shapes the wh**ky. You can taste it straight away. Lighter, fresher, more contemplative than you expect from an 18 year old single malt.
