We love spreading news about the beautiful things we witness at the farm, the positive impact we create through our education programs, and the great work done by our team and volunteers. Today, however, we'd like to share something sad.

Early this morning, when our team arrived to start setting up the Farmgate Market, we found out the wheels of our coffee caravan had been stolen. As a consequence, the van fell to one side, causing some external damage and damaging some equipment inside.

We all started the morning a bit sad, wondering why someone would deliberately harm something that is working for the good of the community. Throughout the morning, though, we saw this same community coming together to find solutions to fix it, to clean up the van, and to support Green Thumb Farm.

A big thank you to all volunteers and staff from Green Thumb Farm for your solution-oriented and positive mindset, to all visitors who were patient with one less vendor today, and to Wildflower Iced Tea & Treats for standing tall under pressure and providing coffee for all visitors this morning.

Challenges like these build bridges that bring us together and make us stronger.

Now we need some extra help to fix the caravan and start operating again. Please consider buying tickets for the Community Lottery using the farm's link. You could win one of the 40 prizes available, and we can use the funds to fix the caravan and improve our security system:

This week our amazing volunteer team finished making these two new worm farms. It was fun to add the compost worms and get them settled in their new home. They will now process the garden and kitchen waste for us, while creating nutrient rich organic matter to nourish the soil ๐Ÿชฑ๐ŸŒฑ
