When there is life , there is also death. 💔

This was a hard pill to swallow last week when we lost our little heifer calf who we literally pulled into the world.

Something like this make you instantly exhausted.

In my experience, when you reach a ‘hurdle’ , there is almost always something around the corner that re installs your confidence and gives you the energy you need.

In my case it was this…..

It was only a few weeks ago we said goodbye to ‘Stevie of Stones Throw,’ our black bull calf we raised here at Stones Throw.

He travelled North to Lismore to take care of a Fold there.

Just yesterday Stevie’s Dam welcomed another black bull to our Fold.

The kids named this one ‘Enzo of Stones Throw’

This little bull calf is jet black with the most intense look on his face.

On the farm, especially during calving, things don’t always go to plan.

Our beautiful heifer Florence came into trouble with a breach presentation of her calf.

I managed to get her to the yards where my neighbour ( thankgod for my neighbour 😅) met me with the necessary gear to get the calf out.

This day we welcomed little ‘Frangipani’ to our farm.

Florence has proved to be an amazing mum.
