Today was actually therapeutic. Working with women we get to talk about all sorts of things, most of the time it’s quite deep. Today the team harvested some avos and then we chopped up a tree that had come down and wood for kindling. We each expressed some anger and talked about the injustices in our world today and it felt good snapping and cutting up things. We each expressed ourselves with lots of movement whether we hurled a foot at a branch to snap it or used our hands it was exactly what we all needed. Here’s to strong amazing women 💪🏼🪵

The avocado season is nearly at the end. We are so blessed with these old trees surrounding us and producing an abundance of fruit for both our family and the community. Thank you so much for everyone’s support. We will still have some items at the stall - pasture raised eggs, herbs, herbal tea, plants and of course our seed and book exchange. Last avos out this week 🥑

For a few weeks I’ve been ordering some nourishing home cooked meals from a local lady. Her food is made with so much love! Spray free produce, grass fed meat. And to be honest it’s just nice to take a load off cooking duties once or twice a week. This is a 8hr Chinese chicken soup which is warming my soul right now!

Using lemongrass clippings as mulch is a fantastic way to “close the loop” in your garden. The fibrous, strappy clippings act as a natural moisture barrier, block weeds, control pests and break down to feed the soil while emitting a refreshing aroma 🌱 Gotta love nature! Hopefully my baby seedlings will be protected. 🙏🏻
