A snap of our garden beds at the moment. Where the wild things grow. I used to be OCD about planting now I just work with nature, I enjoy the little surprises that sprout up and continue their little generational cycle. Today we planted out some mixed lettuce, corn, more tomatoes. All in perfect time with this afternoons rain. Love our Wednesdays V Viloos 💚

Let’s talk avocados 🥑

We picked a few last week to assess their fat content and ripening time, and they’re still not quite ready. We want to make sure they reach their best. Creamy, delicious and worth the wait.

We’re seeing plenty of very green avocados around locally, but they still need a few more weeks to mature properly. Good things take time! 🥑

Oh hey! Thought it was about time I introduced myself to some of our lovely new followers!

I’m Sheree - a mum, gardener, farmer and marketing manager, and the creative behind Haven Farm.

Our little farm stall is about so much more than just produce. It’s about community, sharing what we have, and connecting with the people around us.

You’ll find seasonal farm goodies, a communal seed and book library, and often a few free herbs or plants to share. It’s all about giving back, growing what we can, and reminding ourselves that the little things can make a big difference.

We’re a small family owned farm nestled amongst the trees, doing things naturally and our own way and sharing a little of what we grow with our community.

So, if you’re driving along Scotsdale Road, keep an eye out! Pop in for a browse, grab a few goodies, swap a book or some seeds, or simply give us a toot as you drive past. We love knowing you’re out there!

Thanks for being part of our little Haven community. Whether you’ve been visiting for years or have only just found us, you’re welcome here. 🌿

A productive day on the property 🌿 Thanks to our helpers!

We tackled some much needed w**ding around the fire pit, filled in the holes the dogs have been digging, collected a heap of fresh eggs, and picked our first avocados of the season 🥚🥑

These avocados are staying behind the scenes while we test them for ripeness and quality control - what a tough job! 😂

There are two more events coming up, so make sure you check them out! ☀️
