Crispy Pork Dumplings 🥟
Fun to make, juicy, crispy-bottomed, family friendly and seriously addictive.
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients
500g Scottsdale Pork Mince
1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
2 spring onions, finely sliced
2 tsp Asian spice mix of choice (Chinese five spice, ginger-garlic blend, etc.)
1 tsp sesame oil
Dumpling or gyoza wrappers
1/3 cup water (for each steam round)
To Serve
Crispy chilli oil
Sesame seeds, extra spring onion or your favourite seasoning
Method
1. Make the filling. In a large bowl, combine pork mince, soy sauce or tamari, spring onion, Asian spice mix and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.
2. Form the dumplings. Roll mixture into teaspoon-sized balls.
3. Cook. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium heat. Place the pork balls into the pan, leaving space between each. Lay a dumpling wrapper over each pork ball and press gently so it adheres.
4. Steam + repeat method. Pour 1/3 cup water into the pan and cover with a lid. Cook until the water evaporates.
