It has been a hard week, I had so much I wanted to acheive, I had my first sauce review to put up and sauces to blend. We had our school leavers, my everyday job, that I've built strong relationships with take off on their new journey, applications to put in in order to acheive my goals. But life hit me and my family hard, our mother passed away, I saw none of it out.

I have been a mess, I have been numb and jesus wept I've been drunk. But amongst all of the hate and hurt, weve found a diamond in the rough.

Where I first learnt to BBQ, my grand fathers hand built flat top. Built by my uncle in his apprenticeship years, this thing was hiding in a shed down at Swan Reach. I always thought it was in a tip somewhere. This thing holds so many memories for me, the best of all being Pops home made BBQ fried chippies.

It might not look like much now, its been neglected, I'd like to think my mother maybe kept it for a reason, but she was never one to be reasoned with... I'll fix this 45 year old BBQ up and make new memories with my tiny dude that loves to to BBQ. He to will cook snags, onions and potato chippies on this thing just like his dad did.
