We don't often think about how far our food travels until there's a global disruption. Suddenly it's clear just how long and fragile those supply chains are. Back the farmers and producers in your community. Choose local and be a part of building a resilient food system.
We are located in Eganstown.
That's 10 minutes from Daylesford and about 15 minutes from Creswick.
Each and every Wednesday morning we pick fresh produce from our small scale market garden and pack delicious nutrient dense vegetables into boxes to feed our locals.
Pickup from the farm and meet your grower or delivery can be arranged for an extra $10
The box is $50 and it's a spectacular share in what we have grown.

Short supply chains. Big flavour!
A better food system, one box at a time!
This is more than just a box of vegetables — it’s what resilient food looks like.
Our veg are grown close to home in healthy soils, harvested on the day of pickup, and shaped by the season — not a global system.

Our approach is simple: small-scale, low-input, agroecological farming that doesn’t heavily rely on fossil fuels, fragile supply chains, or synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Just healthy soil and thoughtful growing.

This box represents something bigger — a shift toward food that’s grown for people, not supply chains. A system built on care, transparency, and resilience.

Last week’s boxes were packed with:
Purple cabbage, carrots, salad mix, coriander, dill, daikon roots, golden beetroot, pea tendrils, cucumber, and tomato

Boxes are available again this week.
$50
Oders in by Tuesday arvo will be harvested on Wednesday — get in touch to secure yours.

🍅🥕❤️ Friends of the Farm Veg Boxes ❤️ 🥗🫜

Last week we packed 17 Friends of the Farm veg boxes — a new record for us! It’s great seeing so much of what we’ve grown heading out to local kitchens.

It’s also peak season on the farm, so the gardens are producing plenty and the boxes are looking especially abundant right now.

Each $50 box is a generous share of whatever is being harvested that week. We were also happy to welcome a few new Friends of the Farm — thanks for joining us!

We still have the capacity to feed another 8–10 households, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, now’s a great time.

Send us a message to reserve a weekly or fortnightly box.

Thanks for supporting local food and local farmers

🧄 🏵️ 🌼Garlic Braids are now available!🌼 🏵️ 🧄
These braids are woven with wild flowers and chives, each braid with it's own unique personality. The colours are vibrant and the garlic is beautifully pungent.
We'll be braiding to order this week so get in touch!

We're always stoked with the Spanish Roja variety, known for its strong, spicy flavor, vibrant purple-tinged cloves, and excellent storage life (up to a year). This garlic is grown from seed we’ve carefully saved and cultivated over time — seed that originally came from Tammi and Stuart at Jonai Farms, who have long been stewards of this incredible variety. Alongside it, we decided to add some new varieties; French Messidrome and a Tasmanian hardneck.

Asparagus has always felt like a symbol of longevity, dedication and connection. It’s a perennial favorite that returns year after year, its roots forming a strong web beneath the soil, much like the network of growers and eaters we’re proud to be part of.
From the hands of Mel at to our composty biodiversity belt — these asparagus crowns found their new home back in December of 2023.
Since then we’ve weeded, watered, mulched, and waited… and now they rise with Spring vigour!
With its short harvest window, asparagus is a fleeting gift — a seasonal treat to be savoured while it lasts. Sweet, tender, and vibrant, it’s one of those crops that asks us to pause and truly appreciate the rhythm of the seasons.
Fun fact: the word asparagus comes from the Greek asparagos (or aspháragos), meaning “to spring up” or “sprout.” How perfect to flag another season of growth, renewal, and community.
Here’s to the strength of our roots, and the shared table that connects us all.

Planted at the very edge of our season last April, these carrots survived frost, rabbits, and boggy soil for 152 days. The result? Sweet, tender baby carrots! Planting at the edge of the season (in this case) was a gamble worth taking. Patience, care, and a little record-keeping go a long way. And just like that, they were gone! We ate our share, the rest made it to local plates. Cheers to our long awaited fortnight of carrot bliss.

Seed season is here again!
July and August mark the start of propagation for our next round of veggies. The farm feels alive with promise as we tuck tiny seeds into soil trays, giving them a warm start in our propagation tunnel. It never gets old: tiny seeds, big hopes, and the promise of harvests that will soon make their way to our community of ethical eaters.
Just like the seeds, we are warming up too — stretching into another round of growth, ready to tend, nurture, and be renewed by the cycle of the seasons.
