Five years ago, we took a punt and bought a little brewery called Cockies B**r.

We had no idea just how big the adventure would become.

Since then, there have been plenty of, early mornings, big brews, empty kegs, new b**rs, new friends — and a few b**rs along the way.

Cockies became Great Ocean Road Brewing, one brewery became two and it has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of.

But the best part of the last five years?

You.

The locals who kept coming back.
The families who made us part of their weeks.
The mates and family who have supported us.
The b**r lovers who tried every new release.
The staff who poured their hearts into it.
And everyone who has ever pulled up a chair, grabbed a b**r and helped pave the Great Ocean Road brewing story.

Five years in, we’re still brewing, still juggling life, still learning, still dreaming up what’s next and still bloody excited about the road ahead.

So, thank you.

This Friday is International B**r Day!

Did you know .. International B**r Day began in 2007 in Santa Cruz in California, when a small group of friends wanted a day dedicated to celebrating b**r, the people who brew it, serve it and the friendships it brings together.
At the Balliang Brewhouse we appreciate every friendly face that comes through our doors, so thanks for making Friday’s feel like B**r day every week!

That steady bubbling? That’s the pressure valve doing its thing while the yeast gets to work, turning sugars into b**r. It’s one of our favourite sounds in the brewery.
