Not everything growing amongst our lychee trees is a lychee! 🍅

These little cherry tomatoes have popped up all on their own in the orchard, growing wild, happy and apparently very productive amongst the lychee trees.

One of those little farm surprises that’s too good not to pick. ❤️

A winter view across Lush Lychees

Looking over part of our home orchard, with our new orchard stretching out in the distance.

It’s been a very dry winter here in Central Queensland. The landscape might be brown, but under the nets the lychee trees are green, starting to flower and getting ready for another season. 🌱

Now we just need a good drop of rain! 🌧️🤞

Data is a wonderful thing… until it lies to you 😂💧

Our soil moisture reader says everything’s perfect. The paddock says otherwise. 🌱😬

Turns out a broken sprinkler is watering directly where the sensor is…. giving us a perfect reading while everywhere else is dry.

Lesson: trust the data… but always check the paddock! 👀🚜
