We forgot to mention 😳😳 we also won 🏆 with our Korean BBQ burger is the West Australian best beef burger 3 years in a row 🏆 🏆 🏆

We also took out the national crown with this burger the last 2 years, can we make it 3 in row nationally next year at the national competition.

Last night we had our Industry Awards night. It’s gives Butchers around Perth the opportunity to showcase some of their products, go up against other Butchers in the Sausage King competition but also give our Apprentices the opportunity to test their skills and knowledge and compete in the Apprentice of the Year competition.

This year we had Sally from Rump Shakers Byfordand Keeley from Rump Shakers Southern River. They both prepared themselves very well, they came into the shop on their days off to practice their skills and presentation of product and were dedicated to the task at hand.

For John and I, we obviously enjoy entering the Sausage King competition, but for us it’s far more than that. The happiness and pride we feel watching our Apprentices evolving into their own, doing something they love, and the support our team has for one another is exceptional.

We (well, John) have woken up with very sore heads but so grateful for the industry and our staff.

Lastly, a huge shout out to Cahal (the one at Byford that no one can understand ☘️🇮🇪) Jesse and Jaidyn, for the time you have taken out of your already busy days to teach Sally & Keeley. You are their role models and mentors. They wouldn’t be where they are today without you.
