Plenty of certified organic and chemical free options available on the Echo Valley Farm Stall along with our homemade jams and sauces and some very good quality kindling and firewood! Also happy to announce as well as our own eggs when we have them we are now stocking Sunnybrook Farm’s Springbrook Green Eggs - these pasture raised beautiful chooks giving top quality eggs live on another lovely farm on the mountain!

Fresh picked Echo Valley certified organic lemons and limes on the stall today …… also lots of other certified organic goodies such as baby carrots, sweet tasty baby beetroots, ginger, purple carrots, pumpkins and as always the amazing Dutch Cream potatoes!

An amazing week for the end of Autumn and beginning of winter!! It’s been wet, windy, cold, misty and now sunny!! Some beautiful scenes from around the farm including some trees on fences, wonderful cloud formations, a carpet python still getting around the orchard and lots of different birds …….. very relevant as it was announced on the news this morning that bird watching is becoming an increasingly popular activity with young and old as it’s relaxing and tech free!! We love our amazing birds and their families here at Echo Valley!!

Almost 300mm of rain in the last few days has given us a much needed flush out and refresh! It was a bit wet and muddy around the place but the sun came out and even with the current crazy cold wind and a bit of drizzle it’s drying up quickly! Thankfully all ok here …… we have been lucky! Lots of nice veggies on the stall as well as plenty of dry firewood!!

No one wanting to get out of bed this morning!! Looks like the wet season has finally arrived!! Been waiting all year!! It’s very wet around the farm with 99mm overnight on top of already wet soil! Creeks getting a good flush, dams are full and drains are working well!! Great day for sitting in front of the fire at Albert’s!! 😊😊😊

Still plenty of mud around ……. but rainbows and sunshine in between drizzles! Great for some things and not for others! Keeping the cockatoos away is a challenge for the citrus but we are finding the fake owls and shiny tape is helping a lot! Kiwi fruit can’t be picked until we get some proper sunny days! Firewood is also a bit of a challenge! Thanks for supporting sustainable agriculture without the use of chemicals!

Here’s a bit more information about alternative ways to manage land and the environment without the use of chemicals ……. especially important at the moment to understand the risks of fire ants and the problems of the current ways they are being managed……..

Lots of great certified organic produce on our farm stall. Rain has been great …… although be nice to see a few sunny days now!! We’re doing our best to keep the chemicals out and our beautiful land and animals safe and healthy. Thanks to everyone who supports us - farm and gallery/cafe! 😊🌻😊
