Just how impressive is Three Shades VALAKKAI V12, a stylish young bull with plenty to admire.

At only 16 months of age, he weighed in at 630kg (14/03/26). Smooth throughout , while still offering plenty of depth, power, and capacity💪🏼

The grain he was enjoying was the first he’d had in quite some time, simply used as a bit of an incentive to move him into a fresh paddock.

Now that the dust has settled on the 2026 TJBE (10th anniversary), we’ve had a chance to reflect on what was a fantastic weekend.

Sophie and Vera received an encouragement award (third place) in the Owned and Exhibited class. A pretty special full-circle moment too, with Vera being the daughter of Sally R88 — who Sophie also placed in this same class a few years ago.

Heat 1: 3rd – Three Shades Versace V15

Heat 3: 1st – Three Shades Velvet V03

🏆Champion Junior Heifer: Three Shades Velvet V03, which went on to claim Reserve Champion Heifer of the Expo.

Handler Classes
Nikki progressed through to the Advanced Final, while Tilly placed 3rd in her Novice Handler section.

Tilly also went on to take out the Overall Herdsperson Award, a huge congratulations on a well-deserved result🎉

And finally, Sophie is off to Shorthorn Youth Camp.

Typical Chudleigh, the morning in heavy fog, finishing with a very warm, sunny day.

We celebrated two birthdays over the weekend - shout outs to Daniel (Dad) & Bianca. Hope yous had a great time! ☺️

Unfortunately there were no handler or junior judging results this year, but the cattle certainly looked their best once the sun came out. No interbreed stand-outs on the day, we were the only Murray Greys in attendance.
