2nd June is Festa della Repubblica in italy ..
This year marks the 80 year anniversary Italy became a Republic.

Today we're celebrating all things Italian.
So in honour I'll be making Gnocchi and eating pasta. Seems like the right thing to do.

we might get a little bit of drizzle this Saturday the 30th, but it's just as likely to see the sun breaking through and plenty of customers enjoying the bigger number of stalls we enjoy on the 5th weekend.

These beautiful silky wild ribboned pasta seems to be everyone's favourite.

Selling out only means there constantly made fresh each week. Drop by at the following markets this month and grab a pack or 2.

This Saturday we'll be at San Remo 😍
We're meant to behind the pub, not in the pub!

‼️ VENUE CHANGE for this Saturday at Churchill Island ‼️

Our Farmers Market this month (on Easter 🐣 Saturday!) will be located at the San Remo Hotel due to our usual site being unavailable.

Our Market will run from 8am to 1pm with all our wonderful stalls - dogs 🐕 on lead are welcome!

We can’t wait to see you there! 🎉🙌🥳

First day of Autumn already, soup season is coming.

I love leftovers, today was roast chicken.
So I made Chicken soup with spaghetti cut into noodles.

Spaghetti has been popular over the summer mainly with seafood, pesto or simple fry up of summer vegetables, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, asparagus.

Coming into the cooler months cut into whatever size you like for soups dishes.. but for the love of god don't cut in half. 😆

December was definitely Pasta al Forno month. Sadly it's coming to an end.

Have to say our 16 piece Christmas Lasagna was one of my best.

Not sure if my market people appreciated our traditional Lasagna with egg & ham this month. It's more of a Southetn Italy tradition, not béchamel. Not sure what region uses béchamel but they can have it.

Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni made a come back too this month, its been a while.

Also Veggie Ragù lasagna with Spinach was delicious, a nice change from bolognese. Should make it more often.
