🥖✨ A Little Taste Before the Big Day… ✨🥖
After months of dreaming, planning, building and more than a few sleepless nights, we’re finally ready to open our doors… just a little.
This Thursday and Friday 5am-2pm, we’ll be holding a soft opening of The Club Bakehouse. It will be a chance for everyone to come in, have a look around, meet the team and enjoy a little taste of what’s to come.
Our full range won’t be available until Monday, but we simply couldn’t wait any longer to share this beautiful space with the community..
As you walk through the doors, we hope you don’t just see a bakery. We hope you see the countless hours, the passion, the craftsmanship and the pride that has gone into bringing one of St George’s beautiful old buildings back to life.
There are so many people who have helped turn a dream into reality, and no words will ever truly be enough.
Ron Irwin and the team at Safeway Excavations… where do we even begin? Ron, you never saw obstacle, only solutions. Every challenge was met with, “We’ll work it out.” Your belief in this project, your dedication and your willingness to keep finding a way when others may have walked away is something we will never forget. Quite simply, without you, this bakery would still be just a dream. Thank you will never be enough.
To the incredible team at DMC Plumbing, nothing was ever too much trouble. No matter what we threw at you, the answer was always, “Yeah, we can do that.” Your positive attitude, reliability and workmanship made what could have been stressful feel easy. We are incredibly grateful.
A huge thank you to Beeson’s Electrical for getting all of our refrigeration commissioned and running.
Nathan Waters, whose magic with a paintbrush has completely transformed the building. Your workmanship speaks for itself.
Thank you to Halls Furniture & Flooring and Ed Wippell and the team at Wippell’s Kitchens for helping bring the vision together with such professionalism and care.
Tom Hetherington, your craftsmanship deserves a special mention. Cheryl came to you with nothing more than a simple sketch and a vision of a beautiful wagon wheel feature. You took that idea and turned it into something truly special. From bringing the old dance floor back to life in the form of beautiful tables, to helping shape the vision for our bread stand. Thank you for turning imagination into reality.
A special thank you to Sue Anderson for recreating an image from 1925 into a stunning hand drawn piece of art. Your work has captured a piece of history and given it new life within our walls.
Rob Riordan thank for all your ground work.
To the boys from Phoenix Energy, what a mammoth task it was powering up the old place. Your hard work and determination made it happen.
To our tech support Ben Lawson, thank you for always answering our calls and always being willing to jump in and support us in every way. Your help not just throughout this project but all projects is invaluable.
To our incredible FoodWorks team, thank you for stepping up and steering the ship while your captains chased this dream. Running one business while building another is no small feat, and you carried the load with professionalism and loyalty. We couldn’t have done it without you.
To our families, thank for absolutely everything, for every job asked of you and your willingness to jump in without hesitation. You’ve celebrated the wins, picked us up after the setbacks and reminded us why we started this journey in the first place.
We are incredibly lucky to call this town home. This project is proof that country communities are something truly special. When people back one another, support local businesses and share their skills so generously, amazing things happen. The talent we have right here in our own backyard is second to none.
We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors, introduce you to our amazing team and start serving the community that has supported us from day one.
See you Thursday and Friday for a little taste… and from Monday, we’ll be ready with our full range.
From the bottom of our hearts…
Thank you
❤️ Cheryl, Kym and The Club Bakehouse Team
