Bought my first serious bit of wine making kit recently - fresh out of the box!!

It’s a destemmer. It takes the berries off whole (unlike my old crusher destemmer which smashes up the berries). I’m going to use it for the Pinot and possibly the Gamay too. Given 80% of my vines are Pinot it might get a work out!!

This bunch of Pinot called to me as I was fixing nets - so beautiful - I felt the need to share 😊

Note the “hen and chicken” (variable sized berries) and thankfully uniformity in ripening.

Yields are way down this season but flavour is just……WOW !

I'm proud to release our 2020 Gamay. It carries a new label and a stelvin closure but retains Hugo's "funky" artwork and the delicate fruit character seen in our 2019 vintage. The 2019 was such a popular wine that we sold out quite a few months ago!

The Gamay is sold by the half case - $168 ($28/bottle).

It's a lovely wine for the warmer weather and is at it's best lightly chilled. Only 1 barrel was produced so quantaties are limited.

How delightful! Two new wines available from the The Six Js Estate.

Our Burgundian blend is a complex, rich, medium bodied wine. I've been looking for an Australian equivalent and yet to find one....so I just went and made one!

Our Rosé is a delight. Fruit on the nose! Fruit on the palate and a surprisingly long finish for a light red wine.

These are very low volume production wines, only 24 cases of each.
