⚠️ [WE ARE CLOSED PERMANENTLY]
After much consideration, we have decided to close down our shop in Stirling as of today.
When we opened our shop in October 2023, the first weeks were sensational and we were absolutely overwhelmed by your welcoming gifts and words.
But unfortunately, few weeks later, a massive fire destroyed and impacted the whole community.
Despite all our efforts and fights, our business is not viable in this location anymore and there was no other way forward.
We won’t defer responsibility but we are disappointed with the Adelaide Hills Council which we contacted multiple times without response or support.
This was also sad to read negative reviews from people who complained about our trading hours whilst we were trying to find the best outcome for everyone (nod to a person who dared to say that our business was a money laundering…)
We want to take this moment to thank EVERY customer who has been part of our story. Your support and engagement have meant the world to us.
A big thank you to our staff who believed in this adventure.
For those who will read our post until the end, we want to remind everyone that supporting local businesses is more than just a nice gesture! it’s a vital strategy for fostering a vibrant community and maintain local economy.
Walk down the street and buy from the little grocery shop or the butcher, the bakery, or any small, locally owned shops to avoid writing a post saying « you will be missed ».
Be mindful that when you write a review about a small business, there is someone behind the screen, reading your words. This person probably woke up very early to produce food (if food industry), running everywhere to make sure that their business is thriving. Your words may have an impact.

A bit of History:
In France, the tradition of the Galette des Rois was introduced in the Middle Ages by the Benedictine monks, who celebrated the holiday of Epiphany in honor of the visit of the Magi to the infant Jesus. They prepared a special pastry called the “cake of kings” or “Galette des Rois” for the occasion. This pastry was traditionally made of puff pastry and filled with frangipane, an almond powder cream.
Sounds basic, but in fact this is so delicious!!!
