Two Sister’s Wine Company has a strong and proud family history dating back to 1843.For over a century, Two Sisters home Estate's distinctive red loam soils have proven exceptional for producing premium Shiraz, which remains our flagship variety today. After growing grapes on our home Estate for more than 100 years, Two Sisters Wine Company takes several steps to preserve the family history entwi
ned with our wine. Two Sister’s Wine grows its Shiraz grapes on one of last the remaining pieces of land owned by the family that was first settled in 1843. The property, known as ‘Para View’ because it overlooks the North Para River is home to Two Sister’s Wine Shiraz grapes, previously sold to other wineries such as Peter Lehmans, The Kaiser Stuhl, Penfolds, Maverich Wines, Colonial and BVE. Today, these grapes are exclusively used for the family’s own label. The family places great importance on upholding its history and heritage. Not only is this evident in remaining on the land, continuing traditions such as grape growing, and even speaking German at home (which only stopped after 100 years or so), but also in holding on to farm machinery that has been used by previous generations. For the family, carrying on the tradition of grape growing is important not only for its heritage, but also to provide wine lovers with a good bottle of wine to enjoy with friends, family and food.
