And just like that… we have furry little leaves!

Budburst is here and the vineyard is waking up. There’s something pretty exciting about seeing those first tiny leaves appear and knowing another growing season is underway.

I may have also stepped over a juvenile brown snake while getting this photo. He was slippery, quick and shot straight through my step. 😳🐍

Newman’s Farm – home to Rusticana W**es & Newman’s Horseradish – will be taking a short winter break from Monday 27 July through to Friday 14 August 2026.

Our Cellar Door will reopen on Saturday 15 August.

Winter is our time to catch up on all those behind-the-scenes jobs before spring arrives.
