Happy sunny Friday Strath! What a lovely day to be out and about. Pop in for your weekend goodies. We have a Dolly playlist on to honour the great lady. It’s good for a singalong.

Lots of products restocked this week. Buckwheat crackers, kefir, dried mango, gluten free biscuits, botanical soaps. All the goodies 😊

We have a half price special on coriander today. Maybe it’s a Thai beef salad weekend, or cold rolls and peanut dipping sauce. Yum.

TOMS Kitchen here until 230pm with all the delicious gluten free things including salads, roast veg frittata, falafel bowls, lo carb veggie wraps, our new vegan tahini h**p seed bar, and fruity chia pots. It’s also cream of mushroom soup day. Grab one as a take away and use it as a sauce on your steak or schnitty. So good 😊

I love Sundays ❤️

It is my day of rest, of cooking and eating good food, of walks in the sunshine and coffees, of Netflix binging, of reading and listening to music. Sometimes I pack a lot in, and sometimes I just am.

Hope you are having a great Sunday full of things that bring you joy.

My new raspberry crumble cake with maple vanilla glaze is back next week in TOMS Kitchen, along with carrot and walnut cake with lemon cheesecake frosting and Riverland blood orange choc fudge bites. Yum 😍

Happy Friday Strath. Another chilly one but the fire’s warming the Shed and the coffee is hot 🔥

Organics are in. This week we have zucchini, capsicum, Dutch Cream and Sebago potatoes, Ashbourne caulis, a variety of carrots, onions, fresh ginger and turmeric, butternuts and j*p pumpkins. The pumpkins are so good and make the most delicious soups.

Alexandrina Cheese Co delivery is here so we shall soon be fully restocked with jersey milk, cream and cheese. Great for your weekend grazing board in front of the footy.

It’s apple crumble weather! Grab some local lady William apples and rhubarb for the fruit base and you could use organic wallaby flour, organic raw sugar (or organic coconut sugar for lower GI) organic butter and organic oats for the topping, served with a dollop of Alexandrina Cheese Co jersey cream. My kind of dessert!

We have spiced roast pumpkin soup with crispy pepitas, cream of mushroom soup and creamy leek and potato soup, roast veg frittata, mango and salted coconut chia pots, mango, paw paw and lime chia pots and cake 😍 grab some take aways if you don’t feel like cooking.

Bread’s in. Plenty of fresh sliced organic sourdoughs and fruit buns and of course GF Precinct loaves 🍞🍞

Flower bar stocked with pretty alstroemerias, fragrant orientals and everyone’s fave local native posies 💐💐💐

Alexandrina Cheese co jersey milks, cream and cheeses just arrived 🧀

We still have delicious local spray free Lady William apples and Josephine pears from Ashbourne. They are so good 😍

How about a bowl of warming creamy leek and potato soup with Alexandrina Cheese co shredded cheese, or a piece of hot roast veg frittata with a hearty side of roasted Mediterranean veg salad and creamy avo dressing? Followed by an organic De Groot coffee and piece of zesty lemon and blueberry cake? And you can even sit fireside. Noice!

It’s two years today we took over the Shed. Where has the time gone? But what a time it’s been. I get asked all the time if I’m still loving it. The answer is yes! A big shoutout to my awesome staff, suppliers, Dawson St peers and hubby, without whom it wouldn’t all be possible.

But I’m not going to pretend that in this climate running a small business is easy. It ain’t. Some days are good, some days are great and some are just plain hard. But we push on, because we love what we do and what we do it for.

I’d say most of us small biz owners are in it for you really. We want to serve our community. We want our town to be a thriving hub with lots of options. I want to provide a welcome space for health and wellness, clean wholefoods and holistic supplements to help people be their best selves. I will continue to strive for the best produce that is mostly spray free or organic and local, continue to cook in TOMS Kitchen with the best ingredients and we will continue to provide the warm and welcoming space we know you all love. It does unfortunately all come with increasing costs and you may see some price increases over the next month as we adjust to those. But knowing the cost of living crisis, we are trying to be as minimal as we can.

Please support your local small businesses so we can stick around for another two years and beyond, and keep our town a thriving hub of options.

Bread’s in. We have a range of sliced organic sourdoughs and fruit buns plus the GF Precinct selection 🍞🍞

Flower bar has beautiful local native posies, colourful poppies and small local zinnia posies 💐💐💐

Lots of pantry items have been restocked: Ozganics pasta and curry sauces, wild caught tinned fish, Australian h**p seeds, white, pink and purple potato chips and now also Boulder Canyon kettle chips cooked in olive oil. They are a bit moreish!

In good news Uncle Toby’s wheat flakes are back available in bulk in the brekkie section. Grab some sultanas and you can make your own sultana bran 😍

The Thursday Plantation full range of tea tree products restocked. Great for your skin and home.

Alexandrina Cheese co milk, cream and cheeses in tomorrow.

This week sees the return of the zesty lemon and blueberry cake and the carrot and walnut cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. All gluten free and refined sugar free.
