We’re excited to bring OzHarvest’s Nutrition Education & Skills Training (NEST) program to Sunbury and surrounds!

We’ve loved hearing how much you’ve enjoyed our cooking demonstrations and recipe sharing at the market. Now, we’re excited to offer this free course for those interested in learning more about healthy eating and building practical skills to cook nutritious meals on a budget.

Everything in our garden plot is grown by volunteers to share with the community at our market.

Today our amazing volunteers tackled weeds and pests (cheeky snails had a feast on what we planted last session!), topped up and fertilised the beds, and planted more leafy greens and spring onions.

We also harvested some rainbow chard and silverbeet, ready to share with you at the market tomorrow!

Stall Holders Wanted for Affordable Christmas Market | Dec 19 | Applications close Oct 2!

We’re organising a Christmas edition of our affordable fruit and veg market and are looking for stallholders to join us! We’re welcoming local food vendors, florists, makers, designers, and community groups looking to connect with the community.

Holding a stall is free. We simply ask that you align with our affordable community market values. We have a limited number of undercover spots available under a shared marquee, otherwise we welcome you to bring your own setup.

Last Friday, our small but mighty volunteer garden team got stuck into our small urban growing site, weeding and planting a variety of leafy greens, cabbage, parsnips, peas and herbs!

The fresh produce grown will be shared at our affordable fruit & veg market on a take-what-you-need basis, helping make fresh, healthy food more accessible for everyone.

We’re still looking for volunteers to help keep this growing space thriving as we head into spring. Can you spare a couple of hours on the first Friday of each month? No gardening experience needed.
