🚚🌭 Pathways in Action at the DO Food Truck! 🌭🚚

Pathways to Employment participant Mel Stephens
recently stopped by the DO Food Truck for lunch with her international friend Rachel, visiting from England.

Mel and Rachel assisted our supported employees to build their skills in assisting blind customers. This included confidently explaining menu items and guiding customers through EFTPOS payments – a fantastic hands-on learning experience for everyone involved. 👏

Mel was proud to showcase the DO Food Truck to her friend, making it an essential stop on her visit! 💛

We love meeting your pet family at The Do Food Truck cafe courtyard, especially when they are as warm and friendly as Maddie!

Maddie is a Wellbeing Dog, meaning she is comfortable with all people in many different situations, including in the workplace. A Wellbeing Dog might visit people in schools, hospitals and similar community settings, reducing stress levels and creating joy.😊

Team member Aiden loved taking a short break from the cafe to pat Maddie.🐕

Meet Aiden

Check out the skills he has learnt since joining the food truck!

Aiden can now independently serve customers, cook, and make you a coffee on your next visit, a great feed too!!! Aiden also loves having a good chat and making our customers feel special every time they visit.

One thing we love most is watching each participant grow, and Aiden is a great example of how far someone can come with confidence and support.
