Due to the recent tick breakouts I decided to do the tick blood vaccine at 3 months (min age) for the calves. They also had their NLIS tags inserted and tail hairs plucked for DNA testing. Callie was preg tested today and she’s confirmed in-calf so there might be a newborn at the Breeders Meeting in December.

Rain 🌧️ cleared up after lunch so we drove some more fence posts into the ground for the perimeter fencing.

This afternoon’s efforts… still got a few teething issues with the post driver but we managed to drive these posts into one side of the fence line.

Our land is so hilly it’s deceptive so every post is triple-checked for plum in two-directions and off the string-line.

Not looking forward to stretching the exclusion wire. Might have to pull it in sections instead of one piece as we have some steep inclines and angles 😬
