The biggest mistake with new turf? Not enough water

Turf is like cut flowers, let it dry out early, and it’s hard to recover.

So, keep it consistently moist from the moment it’s laid.

Work in sections or have someone watering as you go-don’t let the first pieces dry while you finish the last.

🌱 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL LAWN DAY! 🌱

Yep, it’s a real thing. And frankly, I can’t believe we don’t get the day off. 😂

Although, looking at where I spent yesterday… I suppose there are worse places to go to work.

Today is International Lawn Day — a whole day dedicated to celebrating the humble patch of green that hosts backyard cricket, bare feet, BBQs, kids, dogs, sprinklers, Sunday arvo beers… and the occasional neighbour quietly wondering how you got yours looking better than theirs. 👀

For us, lawn is a little more than grass.

It’s what we grow every day. It’s family backyards, new homes, weekend projects and that very satisfying moment when a load of fresh turf turns a patch of dirt into something pretty special. 💚

So today, give your lawn a little appreciation.

Walk on it. Sit on it. Admire it.
Maybe even crack a cold one on it. 🍻
