My guilty pleasure at camp… an ice-cold drink! 😂

Thanks to the KickAss | 12 Volt Specialist 80L Upright Fridge, I can keep the drinks seriously cold, while still having heaps of room for frozen food, ice, and all the other camp essentials.

And yep… you can fit a TON of beers in there too! 🍻

Best coffee in the bush? ☕️

Freshly ground beans, OutIn® coffee machine and a little bit of camp magic.

No café. No barista. Just good coffee !! , right in the middle of nowhere.

Bush coffee hits different. 🤌

Camp dinner just got dangerously good 🔥

Quesadilla swirls on the fire! 🌯🔥

Tortilla, seasoned beef mince, coriander and a sh*tload of cheese. Roll it up, slice it into swirls and cook it over the fire until crispy and golden.

Then dip it in sour cream, chilli oil and a squeeze of lime.

Easy to make, bloody delicious and absolutely perfect for camp!

I NEED YOUR HELP!!

I’m getting into backpacking and I’ve got a big trip coming up next year almost 100km over 10 nights.

And I know nothing about backpacking!

So I’m starting to build my gear and I’d love some advice from people who’ve actually done it.

How do you take your rubbish with you?

What are some good hiking shoes?

What’s a good lightweight stove?

What water filter system do you recommend?

And what’s a good lightweight power bank?

This is my first bit of gear the Osprey Australia Aether 65L S/M.

Before you buy a backpack like this, make sure you get properly fitted. It makes a huge difference.

I know there are plenty of people here who’ve done this before, so thanks in advance for the help!

Fire season is here, so before you light up:

🔥 Keep your fire under control
🔥 Never leave it unattended
🔥 Put it out properly before you leave
🔥 Water it, stir it, check it — then check it again

Because “I thought it was out” isn’t going to cut it when the bush is dry. 🔥

Handheld = simple, portable and easy.
Car-mounted = better antenna, better performance and always ready to go.

Going off-grid? Take this with you

Regardless of whether you use a GME Australia PLB or a 2-way satellite communicator like a ZOLEO or Garmin Australia & New Zealand inReach mini3, I want you to be safe out there.

If it’s a satellite communicator, make sure your subscription is active. If it’s a PLB, make sure it’s registered.

Because when you’re off-grid and something goes wrong, having a way to call for help can make all the difference.
