If June had a colour, I think it would be the soft white of warm soy milk.🥛
If June had a flavour, it would be the sweetness of Taiwanese soy sauce.
And if June had a scent, it would smell like freshly made egg crepes in the morning.🍳
💚
One year ago, on 28 June 2025, Meet Taiwan officially opened its doors as a café.
Back then, we were still finding our rhythm. Orders took longer, mistakes happened, and every day felt like a new lesson. But instead of complaints, we were met with kindness.
Some of you helped stack plates.
Some cleared tables for us.
Some simply smiled and said, “Take your time.”
We will never forget that.
Being tucked away in a quiet corner of Sydney, we often wonder why so many people choose to travel all this way for us. With countless amazing restaurants out there, your time is precious. Yet you continue to come back, bringing friends, family, and support that means more than words can say.
We don’t serve fancy food.
Just the kind of Taiwanese comfort food we grew up with — the egg crepe from the school gate, the Yan Su chicken from the street corner, the braised pork rice that reminds us of home.
And somehow, together, we’ve made it through our first year.
✨ To celebrate, we’d love to share a little June gift with you.
From Tuesday to Friday, the first dine-in customer each day will receive a FREE Traditional Egg Crepe and a warm Soy Milk.
Simply say:
“Bring a little Taiwan into June.”
Available until 30 June.
🥢 New menu items are here too!
Including the long-awaited Taiwanese Pork Intestine Vermicelli. And our Signature Pork Chop Rice unexpectedly became last month’s best seller 🏆
There’s always something new cooking in our little kitchen.
And for our upcoming anniversary celebration…
