We have had 3 days in Darwin which has been lots of fun
Darwin is very cosmopolitan with lots of nationalities, good food and a great vibe.
First day we had a drink at the Ramada roof top bar which had a fantastic view of the city and the Timor sea. Then we went for dinner at stokes hill wharf on a very balmy night.
Food was great.
Day 2 we went to watch the Ghan leave. 4 engines 700m long Git given lanyards and muffins by lovely staff Also was a catch up on shopping day. Visit to Bunnings for a fan Kmart and other shopping. 8 weeks since I have been in a big shopping centre so was great. Kmart looked trashed so not much point. Still got some well needed things.
Yesterday we caught the bus to town and hopped on the hop on hop off bus.
First stop the museum which was fantastic.
Need to go back to check out the rest. Saw the Cyclone Tracey exhibit, fantastic art displays and lots of fauna. So much more to see and best part it was free.
Then on to RFDS for bombing if Darwin.
Had virtual realities which was scary plus lovely tributes to those lost.
At night we went to Mindil Beach for markets, dinner and amazing sunset Then had a drink at Casino
