BEEF FOREQUARTER BREAKDOWN SERIES - Chuck Roll šŸ„©

If youā€™ve ever wondered where your favourite cut comes from and how best to cook it, this is the series for you!

The Chuck Roll is a cut from the chuck primal, the shoulder area of the beef carcass. It sits between the neck and the rib section, essentially the eye of the chuck. Itā€™s a hard working muscle, but still has good marbling and beefy flavour.

Due to its connective tissue, the chuck roll can be used for both low and slow cooking, such as roasts, and diced for stewing or braising, but when portioned as steaks can be grilled or pan fried.
