From 6 tonne Coils to completed Process Tanks.

Proud to showcase another major stainless steel fabrication package delivered by the PIPE-WELD team for a Sydney Water wastewater treatment system.
Manufactured entirely in-house, this project involved the construction drawings, fabrication, welding, finishing and QA of 8 SS316 process tanks, ready for installation.

Project Scope
• 4 x Polymer Preparation Tanks – 18,000L each
• 4 x Dosing Tanks – 9,000L each

Technical Highlights
• 3mm SS316 shells rolled and formed from stainless coil
• Over 6 tonnes of 3mm coil processed (180m+)
• 6mm checkerplate roofs and handrails.
• 16 flanged connections per tank (DN50-DN150) to AS4087 PN16
• Access openings, inspection windows, mixer flanges, overflow and vent systems

Quality & Compliance
• 10% radiographic testing of selected butt welds and seams
• Dye penetrant testing of all flanges and lifting lugs
• 100% visual weld inspection

These tanks will support Sydney Water's polymer dosing and wastewater treatment processes, helping deliver cleaner water outcomes for the Western Sydney community.

PIPE-WELD are currently looking for skilled trades for immediate start on Major Infrastructure Projects and Food & Beverage long term projects across Sydney.

We are hiring:
· Pipefitters
· Pipe TIG Welders (Stainless Steel) Tube and Pipe.
· Orbital Welders for open and closed head operations
· Sheet Metal Workers – Light fabrication - 1mm -5mm stainless steel
· Workshop Fabricators/ Boilermakers (Platforms, Tanks, General S/S Fabrication).
· Trade Assistants – familiar with the trade industry.

Key requirements:
· Stainless steel TIG welding essential
· Experience with 1mm–5mm light fabrication
· Ability to work on tube & schedule pipe drawings
· Orbital welding experience is an advantage but not a must

Work details:
· Sydney metro projects + workshop work based in Prestons.
· 10–12 hour days, up to 6 days/week
· Tools & equipment supplied
· Start times are 6am
