Future You is inviting children aged 8 to 12 to take part in our Find the STEM in Your Hobby competition, as seen in the newly launched first edition of Careers with STEM: Primary.

Whether it’s gaming, sport, art, building, or baking, this is a chance for students to explore the STEM behind what they love, and share it with us.

Come and hand feed real live butterflies Burwood Library and Hub tomorrow! Our entomologists will be there to answer all of your burning bug question. Have a play with our digital microscopes and see insect wings close up. This is a free event but you’ll need to book on your space on the library website.

Have you ever eaten insects inside an (almost) 200 year old kitchen? Today is the day! We’ll be at Elizabeth Bay House today for this unique and memorable school holiday experience. We’re in the cellar kitchen to learn all about the future of food. If you have some little bugs that are fascinated by bugs, our live butterfly house will be there too. A huge thank you to Rebecca who sent me this awesome video of Hummingbird Moths feeding in Lacey’s Creek QLD after hearing me speak about them on ABC overnights program last week with Pav. I’ve never seen them in real life before so this definitely brought a smile to my face 😍😍
