RACE #28 OF 2026
πŸ“ Orange Kart Club, Orange NSW
πŸ† 2026 NSW State Championship
🏎️ Chayse Attard #52 β€” Rookies / Cadet 12

Just 0.089 of a second separated Chayse from the NSW State Championship after a thrilling 20-lap final at Orange! 🏁

The team headed off early on Thursday, stopping at Lithgow for some practice laps before continuing to Orange to set up for a big weekend of racing.

πŸ”§ FRIDAY β€” FINDING THE PACE

Chayse came out firing, topping the timesheets in the opening practice session. The team used Practice 2 to test different engines and find the best combination for the weekend.

Then the rain arrived, making the remaining three sessions a chance to work on wet-weather pace and setup. Practice 5 also determined the starting order for Saturday’s official qualifying session.

⏱️ FP1 β€” P1 🟣
⏱️ FP2 β€” P5
⏱️ FP3 β€” P5🌧️
⏱️ FP4 β€” P9 🌧️
⏱️ FP5 β€” P5 🌧️

🌧️ SATURDAY β€” QUALIFYING & TWO HEATS

Chayse delivered a strong qualifying performance in the wet, putting the kart P2 out of 14 and securing an outside front-row start.

A win in Heat 1, followed by fifth in Heat 2, saw him finish Saturday as the top points scorer, earning pole position for Sunday’s final heat.

⏱️ Qualifying β€” P2/14 🌧️
🏁 Heat 1 β€” P2 ➜ P1 🟣
🏁 Heat 2 β€” P2 ➜ P5

πŸ”₯ SUNDAY β€” FINALS DAY

Starting from pole in Heat 3, Chayse began strongly. The team took a gamble on tyre pressures, but the pace faded in the closing stages and he brought it home in sixth.

🏁 Heat 3 β€” P1 ➜ P6

That put Chayse P3 on the grid for the 20-lap final.

Chayse quickly moved into second and went with the leader. On lap three, however, he dropped a wheel exiting Orange’s famous hairpin and lost momentum. The closely packed train of karts swept past, dropping him to sixth.

Chayse regrouped, settled into a rhythm and kept himself in contention. With plenty of biffing and barging ahead, he stayed smart and capitalised on opportunities as they came.

Back into third on the final lap, Chayse grabbed second on the run to the flag, crossing the line just 0.089 seconds behind the winner!

πŸ† Final β€” P3 ➜ P2

A determined fightback and a thrilling finish to his NSW State Championship weekend. πŸ‘Š

πŸ‘ Congratulations to Harry Stephenson Harry Stephenson Racing on the victory!

Chayse sends a massive thank you to his fellow competitors, officials, supporters and fans for their support throughout the weekend.

A very special thank you to Ray from TB Kart Australia, who drove eight hours from Victoria to be with the team. His help with data, setup and driver coaching was greatly appreciated, and it meant a lot to share this special weekend with him.

πŸ’₯ SPEED TO BURN, BUT A TOUGH FINAL! πŸ’₯

An awesome start to the morning for Chayse, staying out of trouble, running consistently at the front and banking valuable championship points. A strong run through the heats secured a P2 starting position for the final.

Come final time, Chayse slotted in behind the leader and was glued to the rear bumper. The #52 had the speed to burn, but Chayse was patient, waiting for the right opportunity to make his move. πŸ”₯

With 4 laps to go, Chayse made his move for the lead! 🏁 He completed the pass and began to slowly pull away, showing the pace he had in hand.

Unfortunately, a small mistake coming onto the front stretch allowed P2 to close back onto his bumper. Heading into Turn 2, Chayse got a little off line, hit the marbles and ran wide, allowing four karts to drive through.

From leading the race to finishing P5, it was a tough way to end a final where Chayse had shown genuine front-running speed.

The final result didn’t reflect the true pace of the #52, but there are still valuable points secured towards the CDKC Club Championship. πŸ’ͺ

We keep learning, keep pushing and keep fighting! 🏁πŸ”₯

A FIGHT RIGHT TO THE CHEQUERED FLAG! πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

A mixed day of results for Chayse at Eastern Creek. The DNF in Heat 2 made the road to the final more challenging, affecting his starting position.

Starting P6 in the final, Chayse fought his way through the field and made a huge charge for the lead, getting to the front up the stretch with just 2 laps to go! 🏁

Running on the outside, Chayse got shuffled back but kept pushing to bring it home in a hard-fought P4 finish! πŸ’ͺ

Some valuable points secured for the SIKC Club Championship, and another weekend of learning, racing and pushing forward.

🏁 SWEET VICTORY 🏁

RACE #25 OF 2026
πŸ“ Orange Kart Club, Orange NSW
πŸ† Round 6 β€” 2026 Dunlop Kart Stars Championship

What a weekend! πŸ”₯

Round 6 of the 2026 Dunlop Kart Stars Championship kicked off Friday with five practice sessions, followed by two Saturday morning practice sessions, qualifying and three hard-fought heat races.

Then Sunday was GAME DAY β€” pre-final and the 14-lap main feature! 🏁

πŸ”§ FRIDAY β€” FINDING THE PACE

Chayse strapped the helmet on for three of the five Friday practice sessions, and the team was very happy with the kart’s outright pace, consistently running up the pointy end.

Saturday morning threw the team a curve ball, with the first practice session being wet. Once the crew bolted on new rubber, the kart was simply too locked down for Chayse’s liking.

Qualifying proved tricky as the team continued working to loosen the kart up to suit Chayse’s preference.

Despite the challenges, Chayse managed to qualify P8 out of 19 Rookies.

πŸ’ͺ THE HEATS

Chayse battled hard through the three heat races, fighting his way forward and backwards in a tough Rookie field.

🏁 Heat 1 β€” P8 ➜ P7
🏁 Heat 2 β€” P8 ➜ P5
🏁 Heat 3 β€” P6 ➜ P7

The results were enough to secure P5 starting position for the Final.

πŸ† SUNDAY β€” THE MAIN EVENT

Starting P5, Chayse had his first inside starting position of the weekend.

When the lights went green, three karts in front of Chayse got together, opening the door for him to slip through into P2.

From there, Chayse hunted down the leader.

He showed the nose a few times, but instead of forcing the issue, Chayse drove a smart, calculated race, waiting for the right opportunity.

And then came the LAST LAP! 😱πŸ”₯

Coming out of the hairpin, Chayse made his move and ran around the outside into the famous Windmill Corner at Orange Kart Club.

The spectators went absolutely CRAZY! πŸ—£οΈπŸ”₯🏁

CHAYSE HAD DONE IT!

After not leading a single lap all weekend and with a best result of only P5 heading into the Final, Chayse produced when it mattered most β€” taking the FINAL LAP PASS FOR THE WIN! πŸ₯‡πŸŸ£

πŸ† BACK-TO-BACK DUNLOP KART STARS WINS!

Chayse becomes the FIRST REPEAT WINNER across the six rounds of the 2026 Dunlop Kart Stars Championship.

And even more impressively, Chayse has only contested 3 of the 6 rounds so far!

With just one more round remaining at Lithgow Kart Club, the season is far from over. πŸ‘ŠπŸ”₯

πŸš€ TRACK RECORD!

To top off an already incredible weekend, Chayse also broke the Rookie class track record at Orange Kart Club by 2 tenths of a second β€” a record that he previously held!

🏁 41ST CLYDE MARSHALL MEMORIAL 🏁

Race #24 – 2026
πŸ“ Combined Districts Kart Club – Marrangaroo, NSW

The 41st Clyde Marshall Memorial was run and won on Sunday, August 16 at Lithgow City Raceway, with the event also forming Round 5 of the 2026 Club Championship.

Chayse currently leads the Rookie Club Championship, and both boys arrived at Lithgow ready for another weekend of racing and more valuable seat time.

With Chayse in red-hot form over the past month, he entered the weekend as one of the big favourites in the Rookie class.

🏁 #52 CHAYSE ATTARD – CADET 12 / ROOKIES

Qualifying: πŸ₯‡ P1/17 β€” 47.195, 0.6 sec clear of the field
Heat 1: P1 ➜ πŸ₯‡ P1 🟣
Heat 2: P1 ➜ P5
Heat 3: P2 ➜ P2 🟣
Final: P2 ➜ P4

Chayse continued his outstanding 2026 campaign with an absolute cracker of a qualifying lap, putting six tenths between himself and the field in the wet conditions.

He backed it up with a dominant Heat 1 victory.

Heat 2 brought some drama. Chayse ran wide and dropped all the way back to P17, but showed exactly why he is leading the championship, charging his way back through the field to finish P5.

Heat 3 was another great battle, with Chayse and Kayden Dale finishing in a dead heat.

Then came the final.

When the lights went out, Chayse dropped into P2. He had the pace to challenge for the lead, but was playing the long game β€” settling in, looking after the kart and waiting for the perfect opportunity to make his move.

But the track had other ideas.

As the circuit started drying out, the wet tyres began to overheat. The team had gone with extra tyre pressure expecting the track to remain wet, but the surface dried much quicker than anticipated.

Chayse cooked the rears and unfortunately became a sitting duck.

He dug deep, held on and brought it home in P4.

Not the result we wanted, but another weekend showing just how much pace, maturity and fight this young driver has. πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

🏁 #521 CARMELO ATTARD – CADET 9 / NOVICE

Qualifying: P17/19 – Wet conditions
Heat 1: P17 ➜ P12
Heat 2: P17 ➜ P10
Heat 3: P6 ➜ P13
Final: P13 ➜ P16

Carmelo had an absolute ball this weekend! 😁🏁

Apart from a slip-up in qualifying, it was a really positive weekend for the young gun.

With extremely tricky wet conditions and 20 competitors on track, Carmelo showed he could keep the kart on the circuit, make some really good passes and, most importantly, keep his cool and finish every race.

More laps, more experience and more confidence behind the wheel. πŸ‘Š

That’s exactly what we’re looking for from Carmelo as he continues to develop.

🏁 RACE #22 OF 2026
πŸ“ Orange Kart Club – Orange, NSW

Round 5 of the Orange Kart Club Championship saw the team head to the sunny but bitterly cold NSW Central West for a weekend of racing.

With the next round of the Dunlop Kart Stars Championship just a few weeks away, the decision was made to use this weekend as a valuable shake-down run and an opportunity to fine-tune the kart.

The team arrived at Orange still riding high after taking out last weekend’s Round 5 of the Dunlop Kart Stars Championship at the fast and furious Eastern Creek circuit. πŸ†πŸ”₯

Saturday’s practice was difficult to read, with everyone running different combinations β€” new tyres, old tyres and various setup changes. With no live timing available, it was almost impossible to know exactly where everyone stood in terms of outright pace.

Sunday was race day, with no qualifying, three heats of random-grid racing and a 10-lap Feature Race, with 15 challengers lining up in the Cadet 12 field.

Chayse once again showed incredible pace and determination, fighting his way forward through every heat before delivering when it mattered most.

And that makes it…

πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ THREE WINS ON THE TROTT! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

From Eastern Creek last weekend to Orange this weekend, the momentum continues to build as the team looks ahead to the next round of the Dunlop Kart Stars Championship.
