The 2026 Hop Harvest Fest is on full swing!

Come try Side Quest, our Wet Hop DIPA, hopped with 60kg of fresh Vic Secret hops. Expect a big mouthful of mango, mandarin and papaya with a hint of pine on the finish.

The 2026 Hop Harvest Fest kicks off today, so hereā€™s part two of our road trip to HPA.

After a mad dash back to Sydney, that got us back at a not so early 4pm, we got straight into it. The kettle was ready and 10kg of the fresh Vic Secret went in at the end of the boil whilst the remaining 50kg were loaded into the mash tun for a low temp whirlpool to keep as many of the juicy aromatics in the beer as possible.

Ferment was kept under a much tighter control than usual to retain as much of the fresh hop character as possible, which produced an awesome vanilla note that weā€™ve seen in previous beers like Space Invader and Turbulent Flow.

The whole way through ferment this beer was putting off the most amazing mandarin aroma, similar to the aroma that filled the car on the way back from Victoria.

Post ferment, this DIPA, now aptly named Side Quest, was given a small dry hop with more Vic Secret and dash of Citra. The results speak for itself, mango, mandarin and papaya with a hint of pine on the finish.

Expect a yearly wet hop DIPA going forward, weā€™re officially converts!

The 2026 Hop Harvest Fest kicks off tomorrow so itā€™s time to share the saga of our 1,300km mission. Our Head Brewer Mike insisted on using early harvest Vic Secret, which meant we missed the group transport and had to head straight to the source ourselves.

The trip took us through the Victorian High Country, easily the most stunning hop-growing region weā€™ve ever visited. If youā€™ve never been to Bright, we canā€™t recommend it enough!

All up, Mike and our mate tackled 15 hours of driving in a tight 32-hour window to ensure the hops didn't spend a second longer in transit than necessary.

The payoff was 60kg of Vic Secret, harvested in Victoria that morning and hitting the kettle in Sydney that same night - you cannot get hops any fresher than that.

Every pour of this Red IPA tells a story of careful layering and bold aromatics.

For our last beer of this release we have utilized a heavy-hitting combination of McKenzie and Mosaic hops to create a profile that opens with elegant floral and piney notes.

As you take your first sip, the experience transitions into lush tropical hits of papaya and honeydew melon, balanced by the bright grapefruit. The inclusion of Black Forest rye adds a warm, spiced depth that works in harmony with the malt character, making for a fully saturated and incredibly memorable beer.

It is a complex, evolving experience that lingers long after the glass is empty.

There is something special about the way Nelson and Cashmere hops play together in this new DDH IPA. Itā€™s got a soft and pillowy mouthfeel that carries intense flavors of honeydew melon and a gentle citrus zing reminiscent of your morning OJ.

Itā€™s vibrant, tropical, and dangerously moreish - and we love it.

Midweek has crept on us real quick, time for a little breather.

Yard Work is our latest DDH Pale and weā€™ve gone heavy with Citra and Motueka on this one to lean into those bright, candied lime and lemon verbena notes.
Itā€™s got a great citrus zing but finishes dry, keeping it firmly in that crushable zone but with enough body to remind you why you're drinking it.

The perfect reward for a long day.

Enjoying the last bit of the Easter break? We are too with our latest newly released DIPA, Big Gulp.

Designed for those who want their hop character loud and unapologetic, weā€™ve loaded this brew with a heavy-hitting trio of Amarillo, Idaho-7, and Tangier hops, but the real star of the show is the addition of Freestyle Cold Press Hop Juice. This special process brings an incredibly fresh, vibrant hop aroma that hits you the moment the glass nears your face.

On the palate, expect a massive wave of ripe rockmelon and pineapple, followed by a sharp, tangy tangerine zing.

Mosaic is the ultimate shape-shifter, and here itā€™s found its perfect partner in our house yeast. This DDH IPA is a vibrant tropical medley of ripe papaya, guava, and a hit of red berry.

While the fruit profile is intense, the real star is the texture; weā€™ve worked our fermentation process to produce a luxurious, creamy mouthfeel that lingers on the palate.

Itā€™s a velvet-smooth experience from start to finish. As always, there is no lactose in our beers.

Chinook is one of our favourite US hops and we hope youā€™ll see why in this beer. It opens with an inviting aroma of candied pineapple and zesty orange before diving into a deep, resinous flavour profile.

Youā€™ll find that classic backbone of pine and grapefruit, but itā€™s softened by tropical fruit and bitter orange.

Chinook is exceptionally well-balanced and dangerously moreish, hitting that sweet spot between old-school bitterness and new-school fruitiness.
