A foodservice customer in New Caledonia recently came to us with just that challenge.

We reviewed their menu, worked through suitable product options, and helped narrow down the formats and specifications that made sense for the dishes they were serving.

We also translated the supporting documents into French, making the product details easier for the customer to review.

For foodservice sourcing, the menu is often the best place to start. Once we understand how the product will be used, we can focus on options that actually fit the requirement.

Last week, John and Adam were in Indonesia and Malaysia, catching up with suppliers and business partners in the region.

๐Ÿฆ In Indonesia, they spent time with the team behind Joyday Ice Cream, one of ANTAPโ€™s suppliers. They also visited ๐Œ๐ž๐ฐ๐š๐ก ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ in Malaysia.

Being there in person gives our team a chance to connect directly with the people and businesses we work with, and to stay close to the relationships behind our international trade.

A lot can happen through emails and calls. Some conversations are simply better face to face. ๐Ÿค

Weโ€™re pleased to share that, effective 3 September 2026, Antap International is now officially accredited as an ๐€๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐“๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐๐ž๐ซ (๐€๐“๐“).

This is a significant milestone for Antap and recognises that our business meets Australian Government standards for international supply chain security and trade compliance.

As an Australian Trusted Trader, Antap now has access to priority trade services, streamlined border processes, greater recognition with international customs authorities and a dedicated Australian Border Force Account Manager.

For our customers and partners, these benefits can help make cross-border trade more efficient and predictable, with stronger support when navigating customs processes and moving goods between markets.

Australiaโ€™s Mutual Recognition Arrangements can also provide recognised Trusted Traders with preferential treatment and greater predictability at participating borders where applicable, helping us support smoother trade across a growing network of international markets.

Red noses have made their way around the Antap office today, along with a few fluffy new friends being adopted by the team. โค๏ธ

Today, weโ€™re marking ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜†, a national fundraising day that helps support Red Nose Australiaโ€™s work funding life-saving research and supporting families grieving the loss of a baby or child.

The day uses humour and a little silliness to make a difficult subject easier to talk about, and our team has been getting involved in their own way throughout the day.

A supplier once asked us about sending a coffee product into a Pacific market we know well.

The product was good. The market fit was the question.

From experience, we knew local customers were much more familiar with instant coffee in jars, so a full container of another format could have carried more risk than opportunity.

For us, sourcing is also about understanding what people actually buy in each market.
