😱😔 Just letting you all know, There will be NO flowers this Saturday 24th at the gate. It’s just too wet, the flowers that would’ve been ready to pick tomorrow are just too rain damaged. The developing buds should be fine for the following weekend fingers crossed. 🤞🌸🤞🌸🤞
Photos .. are of the new seedling I posted before from Bracken Sequel.. the second side stems are equally exciting.. they have more blushing and lovely long dark stems and fluffy behinds 😅💕 I’ve also given her a working name “OMG Caramelo “ because I’m not good at remembering numbers😅🤷‍♀️🌸..
Well, stay dry out there over the next few days .. Carla

🌱 Now in the shop… Winged Everlasting, My favourite new variety addition in the patch last season, I can’t imagine not growing this beauty now. I’ve planted twice as much this season which is flowering and almost ready to harvest 🤪🥰🤷‍♀️ for us it’s a plant autumn or late spring so not sure how it will go planting now in qld but according to mr google still possible, lots more info via the shop page.. we have also restocked (some seeds for planting now) … Tall Celosia Mix, Zinnias and the popular White Swan Marigold is also now back in stock, I’m started my second succession tomorrow 🌱 ps it’s true the leaves don’t smell like normal marigolds 💕

Photos from a wander with cuppa this morning… all looking ok after some heavy rain… most exciting is the long row of OMG choc chip babies .. some have started to crack some colour and some nice dark colours in there .. excited for tomorrow to see how they open .. looks like lots for the mower which is normal with seed grown dahlias 😅😰🫣 definitely some OMG Berrylishous pollen in the berry coloured ones she was next to choc chip last season as I wanted to see what they did together 🤞 .. also the first zinnias coming along my Mini Zin Project I’ve had on hold for two seasons .. glad some of the seed pollinated .. also OMG Purple Rain with raindrops 😁 and 2y OMG Moonstone.

So decided today was a mostly an inside record keeping day … so here are some photos I took of our OMG Hippeastrums that I’ve bred/ grown from seed over the years that are currently in flower and in the house ( keeping the native pollinators at bay for my new seed crosses 😅🌸 ) for me the most exciting is the pink and white double Lillyanna as it has a beautiful fragrance ( not common in hippies ) or the darkest one I’ve bred so far yet to find the perfect name or .. actually I like all of them who would of guessed .. 😁🤪🌸 which is your favourite?
