It’s with great sadness that the SRI community mourn the passing of our dear friend, Katelyn Wall.

Katelyn has been a much-loved member of the SRI since 2022, joining many events and programs and becoming an integral part of our SRI community. During this time Katelyn became more than an SRI colleague and friendly face - she became a dear friend to many.

At times like these, it’s hard not to feel great loss and a sense of unfairness that a young life came to an end far too soon. But we want to remember the wonderful times we shared with Katelyn and the lasting impact she made on the world.

Katelyn was passionate yet humble, very often underestimating just how brilliant she was. In addition to being a beautiful mother and friend, she was an exceptionally talented businesswoman - forever coachable, driven, generous, selfless and dedicated; she embodied something that you simply can’t teach or bottle in a course. Katelyn was simply a good person who cared deeply about her work and about going above and beyond for those around her.

Katelyn will be missed in so many ways by all those lucky enough to know her.

Our hearts are with Katelyn’s family and friends.

We understand that news of a sudden loss can be deeply upsetting. If this brings up difficult feelings for you, we encourage you to reach out to someone you trust or seek support through one of the services below.

To all our valued customers over the years, we would like to thank you for your support.

We have made the difficult decision to close down Walls Honey Co.

The devastating cost to us when the DPI euthanised our bees a couple of years ago in a quarantine red zone with varroa was a devastating blow to us and took a lot of rebuilding but now that there are mites that are resistant to treatment and the ongoing high cost of treatment and & labour involved the cost is just too much and we have decided to depart the industry.

Thank you

No big factory. No mass production. Just our family, our hives and a whole lot of care poured into every candle.

Before the candles are lit, it's worth remembering that sometimes it's the little touches that make a celebration feel special. Even a simple Woolies cake can look beautiful with our pure beeswax birthday candles. This is the cake for our biggest little love who just turned 7 (her special cake is reserved for her party with her friends).

These candles are hand-poured from beeswax from our own hives and they're a simple way to add a warm, natural glow to any birthday celebration.

Postage is available or if you’re local to Tamworth there is free local pick up. We have numbers 0-9 and packs of 10 of the taper candles.
