Like food, I reckon you can also pair music with wine. You know, how some wines need to be sipped slowly to savour, and others you can knock back and dance away. Our 2023 Semillon is tight, lean and fresh and definitely best enjoyed with seafood on a beach listening to - what do you think? 🎶🎵🏖️🦀🦞🦐🏖️🎵🎶

Such a great addition to Adelaide. The is awesome, with a picnic along with some of our favourite wines. Not only can you BYO but it’s dog friendly too. We just had the perfect night watching Ferris Buller’s Day Off under the stars in the Botanic Gardens. I can’t think of a better way to spend the evening. 🎥🎞️🧺🐕🍾

Such a great addition to Adelaide. The Moonlight Cinema is awesome, with a picnic along with some of our favourite wines. Not only can you BYO but it’s dog friendly too. Although the moon symbol is in recognition of biodynamic farming, it’s also on the label because we get the most unreal moon rising over our property in the Barossa. People often focus on sunset and sunrise, but once every two or three months, when the moon is full and it rises in the east, it illuminates the hills and vineyards. Because it’s low on the horizon, it appears larger, and the light passes through more of our atmosphere and gives it a deep yellow or orange hue. 🌛🌚🌕✨🌠

I pulled my barrels out of the cellar to check on them the other day. This biodynamic Shiraz from Ebenezer, North Barossa has been maturing there since May. It looks unreal - powerful, dark fruits, peppery, a hint of mint and to***co leaf. I think it’s got a while to go before I bottle it though, maybe another 12 months – watch this space. ⌛🍷⌛🍷

This symbol on the label is an onion, and I figured it was a great way to represent my roots as a chef. It’s also a good opportunity to match the wine with food. So, if you have some 2023 Haus Wine Grenache or are thinking about getting some, I’d recommend trying it with confit duck leg, or for a plant-based option, try it with porcini and truffled pasta. Both would be delish. 🍄🦆🧑‍🍳🍄🦆🧑‍🍳

I am very excited to say we have released a reserve wine, the 2017 Petite Syrah. One of my earlier vintages was a cracking year, and the resulting wine was a beast. Needless to say, it needed some ageing. But after careful cellaring for six years, this wine is drinking beautifully - it’s really mellowed out. There are still aromas of fresh blackberries and damsons but with mature complexities of leather, clove and cigar box. It’s a stunning wine, and we only have a very limited amount. Draining Shiraz off skins and seeds before pressing. This is mostly dry wine now, but will still take 12 months to maturate. I wish you could smell Instagram pictures; as it's draining the air is filled with rich blackcurrant aromas 🫐🍓🍒🍷🍷🍷🫐🍓🍒
