Finally seeing progress in the patch with plenty of fruit coming in and still more flowers
This year was more about getting thing going again and focussing on our crosses and seed stock

One of the crosses we had three plants we followed on from, these photos are from the f3 generation, these have produced a whole range of options to grow out for now until I’m happy with how they end up

Really shows how you need to keep going with generations till it’s stable as the f1 and f2 were all alike and this generation have given off so many different traits to look into

This years stock is finally coming together
Lots of sauces, rubs and salt over the last few weeks
So now we turn our focus to the nasty, the wierd, the sweet salty smokey, the slightly off the wall
With some of our more extreme and diverse products
First off our flagship extra hot sauce “Sting in the Bhut”
It’s been awhile since I made this one but this batch has some slight improvements with all the flavour and heat of past batches
Well that’s today’s sauce ready to bottle

Finally got a batch of our award winning JaySuperhotSalt, 3 kg smoked, blended, dried and broken down ready for use
This is the backbone to our flaming Dutchman spices rubs and the key ingredient to the admirals gunpowder rub
But this year we will put some into grinders and sell as the salt itself for those who really want to fire things up a little more
We played around with some equipment ideas today to make a smoother processing and packing of the finished product ( this stuff is fire to make and the mere fine dust sets your face neck eyes and mouth in fire, and yet I still make it 🤦‍♂️😂🔥
It’s amazing how much beer making equipment works for chilli products 🙌😏🌶️🔥🌶️🔥🌶️🔥

Been fairly quiet on here while I get on top of all aspect of business and life
Thought I’d start to update on what’s been happening
So we finally have a good grow happening after a few bad years
Plants aren’t that big but starting to flower and fruits nicely, all while starting a new flush of growth
Most of what’s in there this season is my own crosses I wanted to work more on and get back to enjoying growing again
There’s a few favourites and special stuff too
Will update more on the patch as it goes

With the year winding up and kitchen now closed for products till next year I would like to wish all our amazing customers a merry Xmas and happy new year
Time for that much needed break so we can be back turning out our tasty spicy treats again in the new year, maybe even a few new nasties on the list will appear too
A big thankyou to the girls that have kept our market stall running this year , Lara Rathjen Emily Kennewell without you girls I couldn’t have run things as smoothly as we did
Stay safe, stay spicy and we’ll see you all in the new year
