Bigger plants getting planted out all weekend

We’ve been enjoying the break with the school holidays but also keeping busy so I’ll put a short update

Chilli wise, seedlings are going great and soon to be put into bigger pots till, over wintered plants didn’t die back ate ate in the ground growing and ready for pruning the get the new growth promoted for a big season

Food wise, smokers been getting some mods and additions and will be out and about soon
We have one event coming up on 31/10 and will post details soon

Product wise, we have lots of stick in the sweet, hot and super hot ranges bit limited in mild stock
We will have products available from where ever we are cooking and serving food to the public
We can do limited pick up for locals from home but we need to keep that to a minimal as it is not a place of trade

We are thinking of having a big stock sale soon for anyone wanting to pick up and stock up and will post details shortly

Started my weekend right catching up with these legends of the SA chilli community
In this group are growers, product makers, caterers, a hot sauce reviewer and an Oceana chilli eating champ
But more importantly just a bunch of blokes coming together around the beloved chilli we all enjoy
Was a great evening sharing stories, ideas and products
Can’t wait to do it all again and really reminded me of where my chilli journey started and how jays chilli bar began

End of an era
Last day at the farmers market 😓
It’s been a ride and we’ve had some great times but it’s time to take the dream to the next level
I’ve met amazing people and built friendships and connections that will last a long time
Would love to thanks the girls who kept the stall running when I couldn’t be here Haley, Emily and our adopted daughter Lara who pretty much managed the stall and many other parts of the business while I moved house, rebuilt a shoulder, moved again and got the business back to where it needed to be, forever grateful girls for all you’ve done 🥰. I couldn’t have kept it going this far without you all
I’ll take a couple of weeks of products and sales while we get the spring planting sorted
Stay tuned for updates on the crazy stuff we are planning on moving ahead
