This November, we’re pleased to once again team up with The Stirling Hotel for our ninth consecutive annual collaboration to present a six-course menu of surprises and delights matched to our 2026 vintage Rieslings.

Building on a tradition of pushing the boundaries and testing the expansive versatility of Riesling, Stirling Hotel Chef Jonnie, is promising to play plenty of tricks.
Every plate will have you second guessing. We guarantee that nothing will be as it seems!

When two great mates get together… what could possibly go wrong? (Third times a charm 😉) 

W**emakers Ben Chipman of Tomfoolery and John Hughes of Rieslingfreak have shared plenty of laughs, bottles, and memorable meals over the years. By popular demand, they’re reuniting for another long lunch celebrating friendship, great w**e, and exceptional Barossa hospitality.

Regulars at Vintners Bar & Grill, it’s not uncommon to find one - or both of them enjoying Vintners outstanding food with a glass in hand. This time, they’re saving you a seat.

Settle in for a leisurely four-course lunch, perfectly matched with nine w**es from Tomfoolery and Rieslingfreak. Expect plenty of stories from the vineyard, behind-the-scenes banter, and the kind of afternoon that only good food, great w**e, and even better company can deliver.

To round out the day, we’ll be auctioning a magnum from each w**ery, with all proceeds supporting the The Kicking Goals Scholarship through Foundation Barossa, helping local young people achieve their goals.

Alex is known as our ‘Everything Guy’ at Rieslingfreak. No task is beyond him as he effortlessly moves between w**e room, warehouse, lawns and kitchen. A man of particular taste, he has crowned the 2026 No.2 as his w**e of the vintage. 👏🏻🥂

“The No.12 Riesling has typically been my personal favourite Rieslingfreak w**e. But tasting the suite of new vintage w**es each year does provide the opportunity of a fresh perspective, and the 2026 vintage has me leaning in a new direction. The No.2 was the stand out for me this year, capturing everything we love about Polish Hill River—purity, precision, restraint and elegance. Beautiful to enjoy today, with every promise of rewarding those patient enough to hang on to a few bottles for 5 - 10 or more years.”
