We’ve had a number of time wasters/no shows lately, so going forward, please don’t be surprised if we ask for a non-refundable deposit when you tell us you want a bird/s.

We invest a lot of time and resources into breeding, raising and finding the right homes for our chickens. It’s genuinely draining to go around in circles - sometimes for weeks - while someone works out how/when they’ll collect their birds, only to have them change their mind. We’ve had people ghost us (like many others I’m sure) and even go so far as to ‘leave the chat’ which is particularly frustrating, especially when we have others genuinely interested awaiting our response to what’s available.

This is not intended as a whinge, just a statement of intent. We respect your time and interest in our birds which is why we try to give you as much information, and answer as many questions as possible. It’s only fair to expect a similar level of respect in return đŸ‘đŸ»

We kicked off the first Gawler Poultry Fanciers club meet today with reserve bird in show for one of our young Langshan bantam cockerels. 🏆

He was also the Champion Bantam and Champion Softfeather Bantam Heavy Breed. One of his sisters was Reserve Champion Softfeather Heavy Breed, too!

Our standard Langies and Vorwerks also won their classes, as did Oskar’s J*panese Bantams which all came home with ribbons 🎀

Tanunda Show. No time for photos, but while I was busy with official duties our sole exhibit, a Langshan hen, managed to make her way to the top in the Rex Starick Pavilion.

Oskar’s little J*p Bantam pullet also managed to pull reserve junior, and we had a successful day in the Show Hall too!

Reserve bird of show and champion heavy breed with our Langy hen, and champion junior with one of Oskar’s first homebred J*panese Bantam pullets 🏆
