So very proud of our 2024 Planta Circa Ancestor Vine Grenache awarded the trophy for best Grenache at the ANZ Boutique wine show today. A great example of how vines over 125 years old can still keep producing immaculate wines.

Last week we were honoured to be awarded the Best Shiraz in Show at the 2025 Australian Small Winemakers Wine Show. With over 600 wines entered into the wine show and only 36 awarded gold medals across an array of classes it made it even more special to receive the Dick De Luca Memorial - Trophy Champion Shiraz.

Big day at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show yesterday we took out the Trophy for Best South Australian Red Wine with our 2024 Purple Hands Wines Barossa Valley Grenache. Very proud and humbled by the recognition of this amazing wine that has been a key part of our journey over the past 20 years.

Some great news in from the Young Gun of Wine Australia’s Best Amphora Reds review with our Amphora fermented Montepulciano under our Oenotri label.

2022 Purple Hands ‘Oenotri’ Montepulciano, Barossa Valley $100 RRP
James included this wine in his top six from the blind tasting. “Dense red with a crimson-garnet glow, this wine unfolds with plum-scented richness and subtle ferrous hints,” he described. “Whispers of sandalwood and fresh suede weave through a fine, structured tannin framework, while vibrant minerality and fresh acidity give lift. Deep, brooding, and resonant, it lingers with quiet intensity and balanced elegance.”

We were honoured to be awarded the Best SA Red Wine of Show at the 2024 Australian Small Winemakers Show last night for our Purple Hands Grenache. Our 2023 Purple Hands Grenache has also picked up the trophy and Gold Medals in the Winewise Small Vignerons championships and a Gold Medal in the Sydney Wine Show.

Very proud of our 2022 After Five Montepulciano which took out the trophy for Best Other Varietal Red In Show at the Adelaide Wine Show yesterday.

A big thank you to the trophy sponsors David Dridan and Integrated Precision Viticulture for the amazing painting that is provided as the Trophy award.

We also took out Gold medals for our 2022 After Five Wine Co Shiraz and our 2023 Purple Hands Wine GSM so a great show overall.

Amazing day yesterday at the 2024 Barossa wine show -10 entries, 4 gold, 3 Silver, 3 bronze and 1 Trophy.

Thrilled to see our After Five wine Co Montepulciano win the trophy for best other varietal.
