Our last show for the year was Wondai ,

Esie got a few place cards

And my Black hamburgh got champion large light soft feather! For his one and only show for the year ♥️ his babies have already started hatching, he’s been hidden away for awhile in the blue/black hamburgh pen,

Other than showing our birds the best part about Wondai is the amount of trucks they get every year!

Esie had an seperate time getting them to honk there horns

Unfortunately we lost the little doe the Wednesday night, But this little man is doing well!

And has been named Arlo - the good dinosaur ,
One travelled goat even went to the last chicken show for the season on the weekend 🤣 cause he still had to be fed after all! currently causing chaos at My mums by jumping out of his pen and peeing on her hand bag 🤣🤣

After an eventful and bloody long afternoon Opal kidded(while I did the kindy pick up)

The babies are finally standing if still wobbly and both sucking / they are on a bottle at this time
Unfortunately Opal had triples and one was dead - didn’t get out of the bag in time and even then the surviving buck was almost joining the first
The doe was a little more with it least making nosies
It was a fight to get them to where they are 😴😴 but so far so good
Hopefully they keep improving

Opal is doing well and even with this being a first kidding for her she allowed me to milk her colostrum without a fight- probably tired,
Will see if she’ll take the babies in the morning but if she won’t- and after the ordeal I don’t blame her- I’ll raise them

If they both survive they’ll be kept as completely unrelated to anything here

Over the weekend the Kidding shed got an expansion of an attached small paddock as as the babies get older they can go out with their Mumma’s but still be protected, and then As we need we can use the 5 kidding pens for other does due to kid in the future ect - we currently only have one more Doe due to kid soon and she’s now getting use to the kidding area

Does and kids all brought back in last night as it’s still cold of a night and we did get a bit of rain this morning,

Small tiny improvements/projects add up in the long run 🙂 Rome wasn’t built in a day
