Taree & Wingham Produce

Taree & Wingham Produce Taree & Wingham Produce is a locally owned and operated business with over 34 years of experience in rural farming supplies.

We have been servicing the Manning Region since 1988 where we first opened Wingham Produce in the old Butter Factory at 28 Primrose Street Wingham. Wingham Produce still operates out of these premises today. We expanded our business in 1989 where we established Taree Produce in Grey Gum Road Taree and two year later moved premises to our current location at Lot 3 Whitbread Street Taree. Our vast r

ange of farming merchandise include: animal health, animal supplements, fencing – both rural and electric, work wear, pet food, chemicals, fertiliser, gardening supplies, agricultural chemicals, garden supplies, fertiliser spreading service and more. As well as selling rural supplies, we pride ourselves in offering a range of additional services to our farmers. These include agronomic services, soil testing, pasture programs, farm management plans and bulk fertiliser spreading.

One Year On 💙

Today marks one year since the devastating “1 in 500 year” flood that changed so many lives across our Manning Valley community, including our own family, neighbours, friends, businesses, farmers and customers.

What followed were some of the hardest, most heartbreaking and overwhelming days we have ever faced. Our two businesses and family home were severely impacted by floodwater, mud, stock loss, vehicle and equipment damage, and the enormous mess left behind. At times, it felt impossible to know where to even begin.

But through it all, one thing stood stronger than the flood itself — our community.

From the very first moment, people turned up. Family, extended family, staff and their partners, friends and friends of friends and their children, customers, sales reps, tradies and even complete strangers stood beside us.

You arrived with rubber boots, mops, shovels, wheelbarrows, generators, forklifts, excavators, cleaning supplies, food, hugs, encouragement and compassion. You helped us clean, scrub, shovel, move, sort and save what we could. You gave your time, energy and love when we needed it most.

Thanks to your support, we were able to reopen both businesses just one week later — something we truly never thought possible in those first few days, and something we could never have done alone.

The messages, visits, meals, phone calls and countless acts of kindness meant the world to us.

One year later, we look back with enormous gratitude for everyone who stood beside us and supported us and our businesses over the past 12 months. And a big thank you to our wonderful staff for your hard work, loyalty and support throughout it all.

The Manning Valley community showed incredible strength, resilience, generosity and heart during such a difficult time, and we are so proud and humbled to be part of this community.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you ❤️

Alright. I’m just going to say this.

Small business isn’t a cute little extra.
It’s not a treat and it’s not the place you go after you’ve checked the big guys.

Small business is the thing quietly holding towns together.

Big business exists to extract.
Small business exists to circulate.

It pays locals.
It sponsors the kids’ teams.
It donates the voucher, the plant, the coffee.
It keeps main streets from turning into ghost towns with a Chemist Warehouse at each end.

Yes — big business employs locals.
But the profit doesn’t stay local.
It gets sent somewhere else. Head office, shareholders, another country!

I’m not being dramatic.
That’s just how it works.

Here’s the bit you probably don’t realise.

Every time convenience wins over local, a decision gets made.
Not loudly, not on purpose.
Just… over time.

One less café.
One less nursery.
One less place where someone knows your name and your order.

Not because people stopped caring.
But because small businesses only survive when they’re chosen most of the time, not every now and then.

Supporting small business once in a while feels nice.
Choosing it as your default is what actually keeps it standing.

That’s the shift we should all aim for in 2026.

If you like living in a town with personality — with real people, real places, real heart — this is how you keep it.

Choose small.
Choose local.
And keep choosing it!

Because the future of small business isn’t decided in parliament.
It’s decided at the counter.

Choose to support local, while you still have a choice!

Happy gardening!
