You might think the best part of my job as a flower farmer is spending time in my garden and putting together bunches of flowers. But the absolute truth is the best part is the people I interact with through my business. Getting to know people when I deliver flowers, seeing joy in their faces when they receive a bunch and chatting about the different flowers in their bunches - it’s the human interactions which are really special. Thank you to all those who support my business and for those who follow me to enjoy the flower journey. I’m looking forward to creating new relationships and continuing many ongoing ones with all those who receive a flower subscription this Christmas. May Christmas be a time of joy, hope and some quiet reflection for you all as we celebrate the birth of God’s son, Jesus Christ. “Glory to God in the highest heaven.” Luke 2:14

Christmas wreaths are now available from . Each year I make wreaths by hand with the plan to run wreath workshops or get creative in my own workshop, but then life and harvest intervene. So I’m making these wreath bases available for just $15 each. Just add ribbon for a simple, natural look, or get creative and decorate however you would like. Being handmade from locally grown vines, every wreath is unique. A true way to shop local this Christmas. 🌲

You would think that as a flower farmer, I would always have flowers in my house. However, so often I am too caught up in getting things done to actually take the time to get the joy out of my own flowers inside. So this Spring I am endeavouring to start making sure I have fresh flowers in my house each week. Last Saturday it was a bunch of Viburnum Opulus, otherwise known as snowballs, that made it on to my mantle piece. They only flower for a few weeks each year, so you have to make the most of their puffs of happiness while they last. Take the time this weekend to grab a bunch of flowers from your garden, or even a bunch of foliage or herbs. They really do bring a sense of happiness to a home. Have a lovely weekend.💚

Isn’t the colouring in this delphinium incredible! I’ve finally managed to have success with delphiniums this year, and this one was the biggest of the bunch. It is the definition of a focal flower. Keep an eye out for more delphiniums in my feed in a variety of hues. I’m addicted to these beauties.
